Reading fail to land loan deal for Jack Wilshere

Posted on December 11, 2009 by admin

The Reading manager Brendan Rodgers has admitted that he was turned down by Arsenal when he approached them regarding a loan for the star youngster Jack Wilshere in January.

Rodgers revealed: “Jack would be a terrific possibility and I’ve already made the enquiry on that one.

“But Jack will go to the Premier League. The reality is he’s a Premier League player, he even said that himself.

“But we’re in a great position for young players to come here. You only need to look at Watford and see young Henri Lansbury (also Arsenal) and Tom Cleverley (Manchester United) and the qualities they bring.

“If they are top talents there’s a big chance they will come to Reading because if they’re good enough they will get an opportunity here.

“We will always be in the running to bring in talent like Jack when they become available.”

Both Wenger and Wilshere himself said this week that they would expect him to go to a Premier League team to advance his experience.

It’s a bit hard to believe that Wilshere won’t even reach 18 years-old until next month, but he is already regarded as a seasoned professional.

He is going to be a big part in Arsenal’s future i am certain.

No need of loaning players Mr Wenger, they can save you in case of injuries.Have u ever seen an injury without real replacement?
