Redknapp blames Arsenal fans as Adebayor accepts guilt over Van Persie stamp
The Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp has come out in favour of Emanuel Adebayor, saying that he was only reacting the the Arsenal “idiots and nutters” who were abusing there old player all the way through the match.
“I’ve got no time for people kicking anybody or being violent on the pitch and he was wrong to run the length of the field,” Redknapp said.
“But it’s very difficult when you’re getting abuse through the game like he was. It’s not celebrating a goal that cause riots, it’s idiots who want to start riots.
“What did Adebayor do, really? If I had been standing there and we had been giving him grief all game, I would probably say: ‘Fair play.’
“I’m not saying it’s right, what Adebayor did, but what nutters want to cause riots? Why do people need to shout abuse? Why can’t they just watch a game of football? There must be something wrong with you if you want to do that.”
Meanwhile, Adebayor and Man City have decided not to appeal against the FA Charge of violent conduct, which basically means he is pleading guilty as charged, and will now get an automatic three-game suspension. City said that “reluctantly” accept the charge! Yeah right, they mean they couldn’t find any possible way to defend Adebayor’s actions.
But the player himself is still maintaining that there was no intent on his part to injure Van Persie. Man City issued a statement on their website which said: “Adebayor strongly maintains that he did not intend to act in a violent manner.
“He apologised on the day to Robin van Persie personally and to the wider public for the outcome of the challenge.”
The “improper conduct” charge relates to the goal celebration in front of Arsenal fans, but it is thought that he is unlikely to receive another ban if found guilty.
Gary Neville did the same thing against Liverpool in 2003 and was just fined £5,000, although the FA are legally entitled to ban Adebayor if they feel like it.

Shut up ‘arry..you were at the same situation when you left the pompeys, well do you care about how they feel? hell no,you don’t care a bit..what you care is only the fee that you received from the spurs. Pompey fans will react the same way as the arsenal fans if you celebrate any goals made by spurs in front of pompey’s fans..so just shut the f**k up
There is only two sides to a coin. What is wrong is wrong & what is right is right. There is Nothing like “it wrong but….”. It does not matter if it happen to Arsenal or not, What matter is a player who Could have given an everlasting injury to a collegue and should be directly cautioned. So redknapp should keep quiet, and concentrate on his team
What for Harry??
What the name of that horror movie with smaal babyes that attack you and eat you. I think adebayor will end up there, but he may allready be there..
