Rio Ferdinand joins Samir Nasri love-in
Last week we had the Man Utd defender Patrice Evra singing the praises of Samir Nasri, and telling him that he should give up Arsenal and move to United to win trophies, and now Rio ferdinand has joined in by saying that Nasri is one of the best French players in the Premiership.
“Samir Nasri is an excellent player who has a good technique and a huge amount of talent,” Ferdinand said. “And he scores goals.
“For me, he is one of the best players right now. I think he even won the title of best French football player at international level.
“The French have a history of good players here. Thierry Henry has been fantastic. Just like Cantona.”
Wenger came right out and said there was no way he would sell Nasri to Man United, but it seems that won’t stop the Man Utd players from doing a Barcelona and constantly talking about him. But perhaps someone should tell Ferdinand that Nasri is a long, long way from being an Henry or a Cantona……

Its very clear this is just psychological warfare on Arsenal by Man U. If Nasri thinks this is true then he is silly. The same Evra said before Arsenal is just an academy and Alex himself said Arsenal players are not even fit to clean Man U players’ boots. So how come they are now praising Nasri. This is meant just to insert doubts and mistrust and to disturb the team plans for next season. This is all trush.

I really don’t blame Manure for making moves on our player…The fault lies with Arsenal…it’s easy to shut Manure up. Give Nasri another contract. There’s nothing wrong with giving the dude an extra 20k. the more we delay, the more likely we’ll loose all our best players (without replacement). I know what I’m talking about…see Flamini, Henry, Gallas, Gilberto, just to mention a few.
Mark my words. If arsenal sign less than 5 stong player this season, we’re in for a great fall.

Rio is a London boy to the heart and wouldn’t dis Arsenal like that I hope. All he was doing was commenting on Nasri as a french player that’s had success in the Premiership. He wasn’t comparing skill level to Henry or Cantona. As for Evra, he just holds a grudge cause Wenger passed on him first.

I think he is asking to much 110 000 a week its outrageous and on top of it hes only 23. There are players in the team no one talks about and they contribute even more to the squad, e.g Alex Song if this guy is not in the squad we can see the difference just like Cesc.
He’s greedy i he should go.
The biggest problem this season for arsenal is that they were not a team like barcelona. Off the field BARCELONA are stars but on the field they are a TEAM.

Why can’t the FA make a law that will stop club to be using their players to publicly distract other clubs’ players….This is the strategy Barcelone was using to get Cecs and now bcs ManU saw that nothing was done to Barca they have also adopted the system. If every club continues like this i wonder what will happen in the football world. Sir Alex, please caution your players to leave our player alone. We don’t need their compliments at all; we know if our player is good or not, so nobody should remind us. As for Wenger, i will put all blame on you bcs you play too a gentleman to be an Arsenal coach…you have to be tough. he is france’s best player, and 110, 000 is regular salry among top clubs and top players… if we were talking about 180,000 a week a would flip out.. but is a simple market salry we cannot remain that cheap and naive, becuase then another 6 years of drought will come again.

theyre buttering nasri up. Football is an amazing sport, a way of life, but footballers are now not in love with football, theyre in love with the money. How can you refuse £90 000 a WEEK? That is more than people earn in a year, and they are working hard whereas nasri is doing something he loves. Its crazy, they’re all greedy bastards now, football is changing massively.

when about 100 players make more than 90,000 a week, and you know you are better than 70 or 80 of them, you are completely right in refusing that amount….
eeeh… pricks like brad pitt, leonardo di capprio and others make even much more (50-100 million a year) and they even are a bunch of drug addicts who make 5-6 movies a year. Those “actors” get way much more than 5-6 millions a year… not even talking about CEO’s … so it is not that outrageous if a footballer who with goals can make millions of people happy wants to earn 5-6 million a year.
And it is stupid that he would not refuse it, when 15 other club can and are offer him much more.

we needed nasri at the end of the season and where was he ?nowhere!!! if hes as good as you all say and he thinks, why didnt he take one of his many chances in the cc final? isnt that what big players do ? step up when needed ! and where was nasri for all the games after the cc final ? this guy went 4 months without even scoring rite when we needed him.
you guys need to wake up hes had one good half season and thats it. he let the team and the fans and himself down with his performances this year, and rather than blowing his own trumpet and demanding big bucks he should be hanging his head in shame like the rest of our players, and thinking about how he can be better next year and make up for this year.

So this is what it’s come to. Barcelona use our training facilities and take liberties with the photo of a certain footballer they’re desperately trying to lure to catalan country. Now we have Evra and Ferdinand publicly stating how desirous they are of another current Gunner star to join their outfit. To borrow a catch phrase from Rodney Dangerfield, “no respect, I tell ya, no respect!”
