Robin Van Persie Thinks He’ll Win A Trophy …….With Holland!
Six years is a long time to go without winning a trophy, not that us Arsenal fans need reminding about that now do we, but Robin van Persie could end his personal drought with his country before his club as he is sure to be playing for Holland in next years European Championships, barring injury that is of course!
Speaking to the Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf RVP said, “It is fair to say that Netherlands are one of four, maybe five teams who are the favourites to win Euro 2012. I think that pretty much everyone in Europe will agree with me about that. No team has made as much progress as us since the last European Championships. Teams like France and Italy haven’t made similar steps forward.
So what do the bookies think about next years finals in the Ukraine and Poland. Spain are the favourites in the Euro 2012 Betting at just 3/1, after all they have won the last two major championships. Germany are next best at 4/1 and then come Van Persie’s Holland who can be backed at a very decent price of 6/1.
England come next and they can be backed at a doubled figured price of 10/1, and they could have Jack Wilshere, Theo Walcott and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain in their squad.
Arsenal have long had a connection with French players and they have had a decent record in the past at the European Championships and can be backed at 12/1 for success next summer.
Russia look almost certain to qualify and need just a point against minnows Andorra tomorrow night. Andrey Arshavin is sure to be in their squad and his team can be backed at a massive price of 28/1.
Wojciech Szczesny is the number one keeper for Poland and given the home support next year they could spring a surprise or two. The Poles are a best price of 66/1 to win, and should they get a favourable draw who knows what will happen.
Belgium have it all to do still just to guarantee themselves a play-off place so the likes of Thomas Vermaelen and long term transfer targets Jan Vertonghen and Eden Hazard could have a summer off. The Belgian’s can be backed at 125/1 today to win the finals next year.

i neither know the abcd’s of online betting or the meaning of things like 28/1 etc etc…….lesser the numerator,greater the chance ?

Errrr we will definately win trophy this year..although we are not gud in league but FA cup and carling cup are not out of reach..ArsEnAl fOr liFe!!

Holland has a very good chance of taking the euro. Their offense is world class, if their back 4 and de Jong and van bommel can hold strong I think they will take it. As for arsenal this year. I think we will surprise every media outlet and take the fa or carling. I would prefer a solid finish in the top 4 over a trophy this year though. I say that with hesitation bc the board will use our CL qualification to back their argument that we don’t need to spend money. Something big needs to Change at the emirates.

I sincerely hope that we can do well in the fa or carling cup, but only if we get a favourable draw in all rounds of the competitions and both the manchester clubs and chelsea get knocked out, as for holland not too sure they have the mental character to win the competition or the defensive solidity, on the transfers starting to get worried by the amount of articles on arsenal.com that are talking about young players that are impressing in the reserves and the carling cup, Freeman, Afobe, Oxlade-Chamberlain etc getting the impression that we wont be making too many transfers in January, not to mention Wenger has always been critical of buying mid-season. Hope the young boys are good enough if were not going to spend the money in January.

I hope they do, he deserves to experience the joy of winning a trophy, Sadly the Arsenal board have no interest in experiencing that feeling again.

no reason why we cant win a trophy to send RVP off to the Euros in good confidence and round off his season with a trophy for holland as well.
