Roma want to write Arsenal a Czech for £5 million
Tomas Rosicky has returned to training with his Arsenal team mates, but there is no wotd of when he will be ready to play again. If the Italian side Roma have their way, he may never play again in an Arsenal shirt as they are hoping that the Gunners accept an offer of around £5 million for the Czech international in January.
I know he is 32-years old and Arsenal do have alot of midfielders, but why would we sell Rosicky? He brings something different to the party and still has much to offer the Gunners. The money is neither here nor there, as Arsene Wenger is thought to have around £50 million burning a hole in his pocket.
Rosicky was great for us last season, and will be again once he has recovered fully. You could see how much his experience, vision and skill were missed by the Czech Republic after he was injured in their second match of Euro 2012. If, as reported, Andrey Arshavin is moving on in January, then Rosicky will be needed as an invaluable squad member for Arsenal. He can take the pressure off Cazorla and Wilshere, who will need a rest sometimes.
With his quality, Rosicky offers Wenger the option to rotate his players without worrying about weakening the side. I fully expect Wenger to tell the Italian club, `Arrivederci Roma`.

i’d throw in diaby in that deal, the fact is it isn’t turds like santos, ramsey, chamakh and squilachi that always ruin our season but’s frustrating injury-prone as-holes like RVP, DIABY, ROSISKY, EDUARDO exc. (STILL LUV AND RESPECT THAT GUY) that ruin our seasons time and time again-out 4 10 games, need 5 games to hit form, play exceptionally 4 5 games, get injured 4 10 games and leave a massive hole our starting 11 and for what? to have 1 good season and f*ck off? after we pay their wages and wait patiently like dumb mofo’s 4 them to recover? nope, sorry f*ck the players the club comes first
ship the rubbish (that includes injury-prone players) and get a LB, DM and a creative forward and stop gambling on our success for once

Little Mozart is another guy who infuriates me. Once again another player with so much potential but I’m afraid to say he hasn’t really delivered. When he was bought I was so excited, he scored 2 great goals in the summer before he arrived and I was thinking that this guys was going to be great. It didnt work out like that as his career with us has been stop-starting the whole time. Last year he was fantastic but one good season out of 6 isn’t good enough and like a few of our players it takes them to get into their last year of their contract to perform. I like Rosicky and I think he loves playing for The Arsenal but he is now 32 and the chances of him getting injured again are high, I say take the money BUT only if we are going to use it with the rest of our “war chest” to bring in some other quality players.

Take the 5m and put towards Holtby. Whilst Tomas is a decent player, we need a younger player with a bit more flair and Lewis Holtby is the man.

Off topic but how can Chelsea get rid of Di Mateo? The guy has half a season and wins 2 Cups including the Champions League, this is why Chelsea will never have any legacy, their owner throws his toys every time they have a loss.

@Salman If Eisfeld was so great, Borussia would have sold him to us for more than £400,000 (he was 18 by then). ANd if he was so great he would have got promoted to the first team right away, Wenger isn’t stupid – he’s got an eye for talent. Fabregas got his first apperances for the first team at the age of 16, Wilshere at 16 also, Gnabry at 17. Why? Because they are great players. As of Eisfeld, Yennaris, Conor Henderson, Miquel – they have train hard and keep improving themselves – then they’ll get into the starting XI.

tell me something.. how many young players have you seen who got their pictures taken upon signing.. eisfeld was sold because gotze took his place.. did you watch him play in the pre season, or against reading? the way he glides past the opposition, his pin point passing.. he has scored 7 goals already for the under 21s, being a midfielder.. the only reason eisfeld hasnt gotten a chance is because we have a dense midfield.. senior players such as ramsey get more priority..

@goonetron Yes I had to laugh when I read that. Chelsea have lost one or two games after winning 2 trophies last year and Abromovich is getting impatient? I feel for any manager that works under him. Anyway I feel Rosicky shouldn’t leave Arsenal. Our team needs his experience around and let’s admit he is still a good player. Better than Ramsey that’s for sure. He should retire with us. 5m would be an insult.

We should keep rosicky..quality player and yes I knw he’s injury prone and 32 but when young players like eisfeld go to training they learn from experience and class like rosicky. Did anyone note the improvement of the squad when legend henry turned up last season? Imagine hw good walcott etc would could become learning from henry everyday in training.

@jego seem to remember paying less than that for Anelka, Toure and not sure but one mil or less for Jenkinson from a market that is well bloated also i believe there are many more examples that dont spring to mind, Wenger is simply the best at manipulating/manopolising circumstances and if youv been supporting the Arsenal for any lengthy time you should know this

I suggest accepting the deal. 5m is a good price for a player at his age.
How many seasons has Arsenal failed due to injury? We all know he is an excellent player, but he is just like another RVP, gets injured too much and it takes another period of time for him to pick up his form. The same goes for Diaby, who is far inferior. Keeping players who can’t play consistently simply prevent us from getting the proper players we need.
I’d rather have someone who can stay healthy and play for a long time.
