Rosell – Fabregas price should drop this summer
The Barcelona president Sandro Rosell has yet again been talking about a possible transfer of Cesc Fabregas to Barcelona this summer, but he insists that they will NOT be raising their price to meet Arsene Wenger’s valuation of the Arsenal captain. In fact, he thinks the price should DROP every year!
“We can talk about it, but Barca will not pay €50million for Cesc,” Rosell said. “That is decided and, although Guardiola wants this player, we will not pay this amount.
“It is impossible due to a simple reason. In football, prices are reduced each year and, if we offered Arsenal €40 million for Cesc last summer, €50 million is now impossible.
“If the coach demands Cesc, we will negotiate, but at a correct limit and without madness and, if the deal isn’t possible, we will wait for other opportunities.”
He also suggested that Wenger should allow Fabregas to leave if the player himself asked for the transfer to happen. “If a player came to me and told me he wanted to leave,” he continued. “I would start looking to find the best financial solution. We don’t want anyone to be unhappy.”
What we need is simply for Fabregas to announce, right at the BEGINNING of the transfer window, that he has no interest in leaving, then Arsenal won’t be subject to the whole saga again and again.

At the moment cesc is playing for arsenal not barca we know there are some club who are very interested on him…n they do not talk like rosell, we are not forcing barca to take him from arsenal…it’s u mr.rosell and ur whole team and even fans want him badly at nou camp. if u if u cannot pay 50m we are happy n can sell him for 70m soon. so put something in ur mouth if u cannot stop talking mr.rosell.

Stupid Rossel. I think he didn’t read Pep’s interview. He has so “many” of Jack Wilshire in his reserves. So why now he start his dirty “begging in public mediatic-style” for a discount price. Go and get from your reserves, or ask Pep to shut up if in reality you don’t have any. And if you have money, then come and buy, or else get from your “reserves”….. i cannot understand why we would be so desperate to keep fabregas,since he contributed so less to our season and also possibly could have cost us the Champion’s league tie.
Having said tht i do believe in getting the maximum transfer fee for Fabregas when he leaves. You have to admit all us fans kno he will leave for Barca at some point.
I feel that we should puss for a 40 million pounds plus Macherano for fabregas. That would solve a lot of problems we have in the midfield with regards to proper cover for Song. Even play them together in big matches. With the change in tactics we can substitute either of them for Ramsey or Wilshere.
Personally I think Our midfield will be off Song,Ramsey and wilshere next season. Or even if we play 4-4-2 it will be between the 3 of them.
I cant wait for the next game.

I honestly think even for 50 million pounds (not euros) we would be selling him far too cheap – he’s an amazing footballer, our captain, our best player and he is still only 23- he has both his best years to come and ten years left at the top level. I know Liverpool were desperate for a striker- but Newcastle managed to get 35 million for Andy – basically Duncan Ferguson – Carroll. We all know Fabregas will possibly go there one day, but we surely have to keep him as long as we can, and it would be ridiculous for the club to sell him so cheaply. Rosell is a dick, he needs a reality check.

arsene should tell barca now before this gets out of hand that they aint under any circumstances for any amount of money getting our cesc, hes our captain, he wont be theirs, hes our play maker/tallisman, he wont be theirs, he will play every game for arsenal (unless injured), he will be sat on the bench for them, and they do not love him as much as we do. so arsene should put a stop to any rumours befor they start as i for one do not want my summer ruined by all this gossip again.

This one is simple……Uefa need to step in and shut that Barcelona up once and for all. You know they won’t as they want them at the top of everything in Europe and club football.
What Uefa need to do in this saga is ask Arsenal the valuation of Cesc? If Barca arent willing to pay and Arsenal aren’t willing to do a deal, then each time a Barca club official makes a statement regarding Cesc, the club is fined and docked points.
It will soon stop. If Cesc hands in a transfer request the clubs must do a deal.
In my oppinion, we should sell, it obvious he wants to go there, its just a matter of time. I say cash in on him and look forward to having players that really want to be at Arsenal. Each year this story drags on just like the Henry Saga, eventually they go.
Cesc is the only one who can really stop all this. And yet he doesnt. So its clear what he really wants. But he wants to leave Arsenal without loss of face for both. And you can understand that.

They (Barca) didn’t evaluate the true value of Cesc. That’s why they lost him when he was 16. And now when he 24 and they still do not evaluate exactly his talent. Wenger is the one who know how talent Cesc is and help him become a top class player. What did Barca do for Cesc? They didn’t give him a chance while chances are what Wenger always gives to his players. I have no idea why Cesc want to return where they do not respect his talent.If Barca really think that Cesc is good player, they should even willing to pay more than 50m. What do Barca think? The thing about Barca is that they do not know to evaluate how good player is. Cesc is one good example. There is also another example in Arsenal – Miquel. He was deemed not good by Barca and released him. But when he showed his quality, they later on wanted to sign him. But thats not how Arsenal works. Opportunites were given to both Cesc and Miquel. But then there is 1 good thing about the tapping Barca is currently doing with Cesc. Remember Cesc is not wanted only by Barca. Now when Barca wont pay that much for Cesc, Other clubs will be more than happy to pay more for him. But apparently, Cesc does not want to go to any other club but Barca. He would prefer to stay at Arsenal rather than going to any other club. So if Barca does not pay the asking price for the second consecutive time, Cesc knows that Barca simply do not want him and will never want to return to Barca. I’m sure this is what will happen. Cesc will stay at Arsenal for years to come – I even envisage him retiring at Arsenal

if there was a definate yes or no we were prepared to sell that would surely start a war, but unfortunately the only other clubs with the sufficient dough are chelsea and man city, and i really would hate to see fab play for either….not that HE would.
Barca are the only option in spain….perhaps either of the milan clubs have the cash?

I would love to see fabregas stay, and i relly don’t mind to sell him to madrid, but i would really hate see him go to the swinery of catalonia.
overall, things are looking up now, because he is either staying or going to a different club than the swinery who will really pay the deserved sum of money.
