Shakhtar boss confirms that Arsenal want Jadson!
The rumours last week were saying that Arsenal were lining up the Brazilian Jadson from Shakhtar Donetsk as a marquee signing to announce when Fabregas transfer to Barcelona is confirmed, but Wenger was directly asked about it on Friday he said: “nowhere near on Jadson” and said the club were “not talking to Shakhtar about him.”
But yesterday this statement was contradicted by the Shakhtar boss Mircea Lucescu, who said: “I can confirm Jadson is wanted by Arsenal. Now it all depends on him.”
Obviously Wenger hates anyone talking about his transfer targets before they are signed and sealed, especially as other clubs always seem to jump in with counter offers at the last minute, but even the player himself has indicated that there could be something in the pipeline when he said on Twitter: “My friends! If all goes well at the start of next week I will have news for you.”
Judging by yesterday’s performance Asenal need a bit nore creativity in midfield, even more now that Jack Wilshere is injured. Could Jadson be the one?

His no Fabregas but to be honest at least his better then rosicky! I think the main thing is, we have a decent squad we were on our way to becoming an amazing world class team until nasri and fabs decided to call it quits! (only Arsene to blame) so with all the negative press we need to bring in a few more players just to bring the team spirit back up!
One thing i do like is that we have loads of young english talent in the squad! lets all hope they commit their hearts to the club like jack has! would be great to see them all playing for arsenal when they are mid 20′s! they will be unstoppable

agreed, although we looked solid yesterday a mata or a jadsen would be welcome as weve already seen we can cope without cesc or fab but not if wilshere is out crocked. a decent cb to ensure the squid never see’s game time aswell and the squad is looking good. ryo and aoc still to come, curious to see if they can have an impact same with lansbury. just wanna see more grit and guts from this squad even if it does take time to settle. i want our team to be competitive again, something we never wer with cesc and nasri no matter how good they wer.

Excellent news. Nice to see Wenger addressing the key issues with the squad head on.
For years now everyone has been saying we need more attacking players because we already have too many good cd’s and dm’s. Nice to see Wenger has finally got around to addressing this.

Remember When people were saying trashing Ozil being linked to replace Fab? my opinion was “he can pick a pass where no one else sees possible” now look how good he has turn out to be for Real.

Have to say that I much prefer the Martin and Ayew transfer rumour… better value and quality to be struck there I think… as well, if we need a wise head in midfield, why not make a bid for Parker, along with Martin and Ayew??? Move Rosicky on to make room for Parker…

Jadson=average player even the brazilian people were surprised when he got selected for the copa squad,he cant replace fab the only thing he can do is shoot and pass..and brazilians have difficulty setteling into the league…elano and robinho as examples

I think its insane some of the fans blaming the entire trophy-less era on Wenger,maybe he had some part to play in it but it is upto the players to implement what he asks.
The time when Fabregas joined no one knew of him, but he will leaving as a world class midfielder.The time when it was thought he would deliver us a trophy , he is abandoning us.
He would have stayed for more but for the ruthless manner in which barca acquired him,made him feel that it was time to move on.
Nasri has acted very selfish.he did the same with marseille now with Arsenal he just repeating the same.If and when he joins city ,he would do the same later.
Wenger stands at a point of rebuilding again with new players like Ramsey and wilshere,frimpong,hopefully they are more passionate about the club and its ambitions…
trust the man or not, we need to stand by the team,and hope he delivers us the a trophy this season and shuts up all the critics..

I dont think wenger will sign another centre back unless he offloads.either squillaci or miquel (on loan) why? last seaso we used 6 different players at centre back 3 of those vermaelen miquel and song only played 5, 2,.and 1 matches each. i think if vermaelen plays as many games as kos did.last year then kos as man as djourou, djourou as many as squillaci, and miquel as many as vermelen, song as many as miquel then squillaci will get just the one game hopefully his farewell match on the last day of the season after we have bagged the title.
united have smalling and jones as their back up centre backs why cant we have djourou and miquel. their 5th choice centre back is evans he is on a par with squillaci. the main difference between their defence and ours is vidic and ferdinand is better than koscielny and vermaelen but that said the 2 of them have hardly played together when they gel they will be awesome although not very tall.

I think Jadsen would be an ideal signing, however, I do think we need to sign a left back desperately, can’t believe we let Enrique go to Liverpool and on the cheap too, we should have stepped in to get him

The season has started but I think much as we drew, there is need for serious piston rings that brings the pitch to range. The midfield is solid but there is inadequate creativity. Wenger and the board must reinforce our midi, otherwise,fair season kick off.

arsenal wants jadson, man u want snider, man city want aguero, liverpool want adams, chelsea want modric, etc… why is arsenal the only big side in the world constantly buying unproven young players…wenger have been doing this for many years, and it has proven futile, yet he continues…are the fans the idiots here ? are is it wenger ? u spend 60 mil buying four young inexperience players, why not spend that money buy one or two quality players to strenghten the squad and encourage the other young, but senior players to stay at the club….we would have won alot of trophies….but here we go again, another disappointing season with arsenal…LETS BRACE OURSELVES. this is gonna hurt…

like all true arsenal fans, i just wanna see players who want to play for our club. this whole nasri, fab thing has gone on far too long. fab has been immence in his time for arsenal, so lets all stop whinging and let the lad go home peacefully. he deserves his move and he wants to go home. he doesnt really want to leave arsenal, but his heart is at barca now. as for little fat nas!!!! his pockets will be so full of his beloved cash next year i doubt he wud even beat my nan in a race. he can go for nothing for i care. greed is not what arsenal is about. we want true honest players. so please gooners, stop gettin on the case of those players who care about our club. if no new signings appear, ill still be following week in week out, cos im an arsenal fan and always will be. those who dont like it, go support man u, or chelsea. we will be back, and be back under arsene!!! the man is a genious.

I think we are forgeting something here since the depture of viera and others we never lifted trophy so i think leting those two go is not a problem we are the team who plays classy soccer.In the case of bring mata,hazard,scot dann,cahill,karim and ayew lets hope our manager will do the best for the team.i hope he can bring mata cahill dann we must have more cover all areas.THE GUNNERS FAN ALL THE WAY

I’d get Jadson, though I would have preferred to see Vidal at the club (he went to Juventus for around 10m, which seems to be within AW pricing range, and he would slot nicely aside Song and let Wilshere take over Cesc’s position). Jadson would do for now, given the transfer window closes in 2 weeks. He’d serve more than just a creative force in the mid-field – as an “old-head” in a team full of youngsters he would bring the much needed experience to settle players at critical periods and to dictate the tempo of games. I look forward to Chamberlain, Frimpong, and Miyaichi this year. They won’t be starters but if they can get 50 – 60 games among them then it will go a long way to developing the next generation of Arsenal players.

i still believe wenger is the right man for the club and yes as fans we need to be a bit more patient however wenger needs to make an exception this season and atleast buy 2 players.
cahill and hazard, the are other option available in the market for the respective positions but we need players who can inspire the current squad we have a good enuff squad without fab and nasri but the confidence is on an all time low wengers needs to buy 1 or 2 big name players to provide that inspiration on which we can built our season.
