Spurs Have A Better Team Than Arsenal Says Former Boss George Graham
George Graham may have managed both Arsenal and Spurs and won trophies for both clubs, but if you were to ask him who he holds a torch for the answer would most definitely be Arsenal. He has been speaking to the Mail on Sunday about the game today and he thinks that Spurs are the most likely winners.
Graham started off by saying, “I am concerned by what’s been happening, by the club’s slide. For the first time I can remember, I think Tottenham have a better team than Arsenal.”
That must of hurt George Graham saying that, but he is not the only person connected to Arsenal to have said that this season is he.

Graham went on to say, “I admire what Arsene has brought to the club, the beautiful football his team’s have played, and the success he has brought to Arsenal. But it feels like Arsenal’s position, as a club permanently in the top four of the Premier League, is slipping away. It’s the first time in his life that Arsene has had to deal with a big blip and, through his record, he has rightly earned the time from the Arsenal board to rectify matters. Yet there do seem to be more answers than questions right now – and that’s sad.”
As Graham so rightly puts it there are many more questions than answers right now, but by winning today that is surely going to answer a lot of those questions.
Graham fears the worst, not just for today, but for the future and he said, “In football, we’re all quick to judge, but if Tottenham win, as seems likely, then the questions for Arsene will get louder. It’s going to be an interesting season for him.”
It is already an interesting season and there is never a dull moment watching or reading about Arsenal these days that’s for sure. Graham is only being honest, but it seems that everyone is writing the obituary of Arsenal and Arsene Wenger long before it is due.

Graham should shut the f..k up, he should be encouraging the team. Ifeel such comments will only kill the morale of the team, if graham has anything to contribute he should give arsene a call.

It appears like this guy wants his job back……………………………, so that he can make Arsenal boring again. If someone ever hears him talk about Arsene Wenger’s Arsenal, somebody might be tempted to think that he was unbeatable as an Arsenal manager.
Of all his signings, only David Seaman can find his place in Arsenal’s best 11 of all time, And Wojciech Szczesny is looking at the next 10 years to correct that. He prides himself in Tony Adams and he found him there and watched him as he tried to destroy himself. Maybe we can give him credit for Lee Dixon as Arsene Wenger’s Ashley Cole did in Winterburn and both Sol Campbell and Kolo Toure puts paid to Steve Bould and Martin Keown chances. Away from defense, Wenger is undoubtedly the best.
I respect George Graham as a former Arsenal player and Manager but every time he speaks about Arsenal, it sounds like the George Graham who left Arsenal for Manchester United as a player and who went to Tottenham Hotspurs a few seasons after leaving Arsenal.
He is not an Arsenal fan, and he is definitely not their former best anything, not the former Best player nor the former best Manager and definitely he is the most unroyal to Arsenal.
He should give Arsene Wenger his due – Praise him!!! -

Football is unpredictable. You cannot just look at a team on paper and say they are the better team and they will win. George Graham of all people should know that. Yes sure it will be a tough game, but it can go either way. We need to get in quick on the tackles and fight for every ball. That is why guys like Frimpong and Ox MUST play because they fight for everything. Frimpong is a machine and Ox can add that extra special something we lack at times.
If Spurs allow us to play our game we will dominate.

In defence of GG it was a different time then. More a sport of men, who although they loved football would still undermine that love and commitment by late nights, drink & drugs. This was largely acceptable (& there wasn’t the drug testing then as there is now!) He had many glory days back then and that shouldn’t be so quickly dismissed.
If GG was around now he’d be an entirely different manager in my mind. Murdochs money & the Bosman ruling have changed football almost beyond recognition. He as a great tactician would have responded likewise.
In many ways, I’d like to go back to those days. Matches in Europe were mini internationals as Arsenal were predominantly home grown. Remember the 94 Final v Parma? 10 English players & we won! The money wasn’t there to spoil the players, for the most part, & it was an affordable working class pastime. Strong regional & national identities made clubs an integral part of their communities but not today with journeyman & mercenaries left right & centre. Yesterday I heard Demba Ba say that at NUFC there are 7 French players & so he felt at home (Gervinho said something similar and I see Wengers after more French speaking players in the “rumours” today) & when Ba was asked if he could speak Geordie he didn’t even know what it was. ???? I think there’s only Joe Cole playing in France and he’s the first for 20 years. I see Arsenal trainees in Clissold Park and I think why bother? You’ll be on the cusp of the first team and wham .. here comes a cheap French lad or French speaking African to gazzump you at the last moment.
I know nostalgia isn’t healthy and that rose coloured glasses may be applied but football is soul-less now. If a club is not going to represent it’s community, be foreign managed, foreign owned, with an entire foreign 1st 11 and subs, with a new comic book badge then it may as well change the name from Arsenal to Stan Kroenke’s Christian Army or Nike FC. Chelsea could be the Jewish Gangster’s Billionaire All Stars. God I’m deviating just a little here!
As for whether Spurs are better or not; well I’d like to swap some of our players for theirs. I’d have Bale For Arse shavinngs, Defoe for Chamakh, Bender, Vela et al. Dawson for Squid, Parker for Arteta, Van der Graaf Generator for Rosicky. In fact, it goes on .. Andros Townsend looks like a real talent, Modric etc. There’s a lot of inexplicable sh!t in this Arsenal squad. A view echoed by Frank McLintock this week. All’s not well at Arsenal and those who think beating Shrewsbury and Bolton is a return to form are daft. I’ve written enough to hang meself now. Be kind.

Look at them Grahams are they drunk? Which team is he managing by the way? Trying to look like some kind of a lengend bollocks spurs will never have a team like arsenal not on paper not anywhere he keeps forgetting that he is comparing this arsenal to the previous squads that AW recruited over the years how can you compare this monkey bussiness(spurs) to one of the best in Europe? we are paying for wengers reluctance to buy the quality players that we needed. the players look awful, they do not try hard enough and they have lost all character. we look like a joke of a top tier football team at the moment and wenger needs to go or the players need to buckle down and play hard, rough and stop being careless. i have had enough of this sh*t team weve got and so have many other arsenal fans. something needs to change or we will lose what quality players we have left (van persie, wilshere, vermaelen, sagna)

A group of panic buys on the last day of the transfer window only papered over the cracks, wenger has lost the plot, 2-1 down and needing to score a goal, so he takes of Gervinho, and brings on the lazy russian… and then for the last 10 minutes Mertesacker plays as a striker… what the f@*k is going on, why buy park and leave him warming the bench !!!
