Szczesny – Swansea are quality but Arsenal are confident of winning
The well-known Polish Gooner Wojciech Szczesny is (as always!) in a very confident mood going into todays clash against Swansea, despite the Welsh side being just one point behind the Gunners in the Premiership table.
The Swans have been very consistent in their first two seasons in the Premiership, and Woj has been very impressed with their attacking style and is under no illusion that it will be an easy game for Arsenal.
“I think they’re a quality team, so it will be a very tough game and a very important game,” Szczesny said. “They have changed their style a little bit, they don’t keep possession for ages, they are a little bit more direct. But they still try to play very good football and as a football fan, I appreciate that: I like watching them.
“Going forward they score a lot of goals, but hopefully they won’t on Saturday. I have been watching them and they have impressed me. But we are very confident, we should be winning these kind of games at home.”
“It was a very weird game last year – the goals we conceded were really weird,” he said. “Although we conceded three goals, they did not dominate possession that much – they still played well but we deserved at least a point.
“I hope we will play them like we did at home last season when Arsenal won 1-0. We kept a clean sheet, they didn’t really have a goalscoring opportunity and we managed a very solid performance. That is what we are looking for on Saturday.”
In the last two months Michael Laudrup’s side have only lost once, and that was just 1-0 away at reigning Champions Manchester City, so will be a hard nut to crack, but Arsenal really have to take all three points and go on a winning run to keep in touch at the top of the table.

I don’t care what anybody says, Walcott or Podolski should be the CF if Giroud is on the bench. We can’t experiment anymore with Gervinho – now it is serious; we could lose Champions League football.

why doesnt arsenal sign huntelaar?
he is better than rvp in goal scoring and is of the same age too.i dont know if anyone would not consider buying him when he is better than traitor and rvp went for 24m and hunt is just for 5 to 10m?

hkhnkjnj s, If you look at Giroud last season he was better than Huntelaar. Then he comes to the Premiership and now look at him. Huntelaar (lol) could be another Giroud when he gets here. Look at Rebrov in the Premiership compared to his Form in Kiev. Look at Shevenko form when he came here. And Veron too. More recently we have seen Robinho flop and look at Torres after moving to a new club.
As for RVP, he wasn’t a traitor. We didn’t want him and he knew it. RVP is made of glass and it’s just a matter of time before he’s crocked for 3 seasons, especially now he’s older.
