With no progress forthcoming on Bacary Sagna’s contract extension at Arsenal, it is looking more and more likely that the French defender will be leaving the Emirates this summer. According to the ex-Man United star Andrei Kanchelskis, who is currently assistant manager at FC Volga in the Russian Premier League, Sagna is a target for the moneybags team Anzhi Makhachkala who could let Wenger cash in on his 30 year-old right-back.
Kanchelskis said in Izvestia: “During his years of performing in the Premier League, Sagna has proven that he is a class player. He is very quick and can connect the defence with attack for 90 minutes.” .......Read the full article here

Arsenal will have to nearly double their transfer record if they want to sign Stevan Jovetic from Fiorentina this summer. The Montenegrin international is believed to be one of Wenger’s principal transfer targets for the summer, but the Frenchman is not known for spending money and I cannot see him agreeing to this price.
According to Talksport, the Serie A club has set this price because of the widespread interest in their star player, with Juventus and Manchester City being strongly linked. It was looking good for Arsenal a few days ago, as Jovetic himself spoke of his `affinity` for the Gunners and a FIFA agent told the Italian media that the 23-year old had agreed to join and had spoken about his personal terms with somebody from Arsenal. .......Read the full article here

The Swiss defender Johan Djourou has been repeatedly linked with a move away from Arsenal for the last couple of weeks, ever since his international team coach advised him that his place in the Switzerland team would be in danger if he didn’t play more regular first team football.
Even his agent then admitted that he had clients in Italy lined up for Djourou to meet with. The agent, Flavio Ferraria, was reported as saying: “At the moment Napoli are not on the list of appointments but everything is possible. If he leaves the Premier League he will play in Italy or Spain. .......Read the full article here

Aymen Abdennour “the Tunisian beast” – By JG
For a short while a couple months ago, Aymen Abdennour was at the top of Arsene Wenger’s transfer list (in relation to defenders). This was exciting news because I had been watching his games for months and was extremely impressed. Abdennour was named defender of the season by many experts for Ligue 1 this season and was also a star performer in the African Cup of Nations. He is both an accomplished left-back and center-back, which is why so many scouts have said he would be a perfect fit at Arsenal FC because there are deficiencies/weak spots in those areas. .......Read the full article here

Theo Walcott is undoubtedly in the best form of his life at the moment and has struck up an amazing partnership with Robin Van Persie. It is certainly good timing on his part as Arsenal are currently in the process of trying to persuade him to sign a new contract at the Emirates.
Wenger will surely be upset if Walcott doesn’t sign a new contract, as after nurturing him for six years since his arrival from Southampton, Wenger believes that Theo has now finally matured into the player he saw all those years ago. .......Read the full article here

The prolific Anderlecht striker Matias Suarez has been linked with a move to Arsenal since early January, and he has been earmarked as the perfect backup/partner to Robin Van Persie next season.
It was widely reported that Suarez had even signed a pre-contract to join the Gunners in the summer, and the player himself made a statement that his agent had been in talks with Arsenal representatives.
But today his agent, Jorge Cyterzpiler, agreed that Suarez would be leaving Belgium in the summer but his destination was far from certain. He even named quite a few clubs that were interested, and none of them were Arsenal! .......Read the full article here

Over the last few weeks the speculation has been increasing that Eden Hazard will be signing for Real Madrid sooner rather than later, but there may be hope for us yet according to the players agent John Bico.
Bico said, “He has shown from the beginning of the season that he is able to play for any of the big clubs, including Real Madrid. Eden has matured in every aspect. Perhaps next summer will be the moment to leave in search of the biggest challenge.”
So that tells me that he is for sale at the right price, but then isn’t everybody, but it also tells me any deal may have to wait just a little bit longer. .......Read the full article here
