There are unconfirmed reports that West Ham have received a bid for the Senegalese international midfielder Mohamed Diame. There is no mention of which club it is, however, which is a bit of a wind up. The 25-year old has been linked in the press with Arsenal all month and Arsene Wenger and Sam Allardyce have both mentioned the transfer without confirming any official move.
Recently other clubs, including Tottenham have also been linked with Diame, and it is no surprise with him being available at just £3.5 million because of his release clause. IF Arsene Wenger had made a late bid, I would be surprised. He has known about the price tag throughout January, and nothing has changed in the Arsenal midfield. To leave it so late would just not make sense, so I am very dubious about this one. .......Read the full article here

Arsenal have been linked with the West Ham midfielder Mohamed Diame throughout the transfer window, and the story is now becoming like a soap opera. His manager has spoken about it in press conferences and there have been reports of ultimatums from the club about a new contract and threats from the player about speaking to the FA about his release clause. Today we hear that Diame has told friends that he is hoping to complete a transfer this week. .......Read the full article here

There may be a reason why we have heard nothing about a move by Arsenal to take the powerful Senegalese midfielder Mohamed Diame from West Ham. The 25-year old player suspects that his current club are not playing ball and respecting the terms of his release clause. Diame is aware of interest from a number of clubs, but feels that officials at the Hammers are doing everything in their power to put off other clubs and buy time until the transfer window closes. .......Read the full article here

Many Arsenal fans were dismayed to hear that Arsene Wenger seems happy to allow QPR boss free reign to sign Yann M’vila from Rennes. The French international has long been linked with a move to the Emirates, and is now apparently available at a cut price £8 million. Wenger has obviously cooled his interest in the player, however, and the money is not really a factor.
One player who plays in the same position as M’Vila is even cheaper, and it seems that Arsenal are very interested. Arsenal scouts were at Old Trafford last night to watch Mohamed Diame play for West Ham, the Daily Mail reports. The Hammers have offered the Senegalese international a new contract because they are desperate to remove the release clause of £3.5 million, but Diame has declined to sign. .......Read the full article here

There have been reports this week the Arsenal are looking to add the all action 25-year old midfielder Mohamed Diame to the Gunners squad this January, but his manager at West Ham thinks he should turn down the move. Sam Allardyce declared that Diame would not get a game at Arsenal so there would be no point in joining, which made me wonder why he was even bothering to say that if, as he claims, West Ham have had no contact with Arsene Wenger or his staff. .......Read the full article here

It seems that Arsenal are gearing up for the beginning of the transfer window on January 1st, and the first player to be shown the door is expected to be the Morrocan striker Marouane Chamakh, after the Telegraph revealed that “Sam Allardyce met with Chamakh’s agent Pierre Frelot on Friday night and expects the green light from Arsenal,”
Wenger has already clearly hinted he would allow the Morrocan to leave last month when he was discussing the arrival of Thierry Henry, when he said: “…..Especially if for example, Chamakh should go, because I cannot stand in his way now.” .......Read the full article here

If Arsenal can persuade West Ham to go for this deal, it will confirm that Arsene Wenger, as Alex Ferguson suggested in the summer, would make an excellent poker player. West Ham are keen to boost their striking options and are thinking about a loan move for the Arsenal outcast Marouane Chamakh. Arsene Wenger has had to accept that Abou Diaby may never be able to play many games for the Gunners and Mohamed Diame is reported to be one of the dynamic midfielders that may be brought to the the Emirates in January. .......Read the full article here

There have been many factors to the improvement in Arsenal this season. The defenders, both individually and collectively are more organised, focused and sharper. Arteta has taken to his new role like a duck to water and Diaby has been fantastic. Ramsey, despite the odd mistake, is playing himself back into good form and confidence. Gervinho is much more effective this season and his finishing has been alot better. Podolski and Giroud have shown their value to the team almost instantly and Walcott, when given the chance, is staking a good claim for a striker’s role. Undoubtedly the best and most significant improvement to the Arsenal team is our super Spaniard Santi Cazorla. .......Read the full article here

Sam Allardyce has proved to be a thorn in the side of Arsenal before. Big Sam produces teams that get stuck in and try to rattle their opponents, and in the past this has gained him some success against Arsene Wenger and Arsenal. Add to that the fact that Andy Carroll could be back in the starting line up and you have the recipe for a tough game.
Thomas Vermaelen is a man who relishes a challenge and the Arsenal captain is looking forward to pitting himself against the big England front man tomorrow. Vermaelen has the confidence boost of successfully curbing the threat of Carroll when Arsenal faced Liverpool last year but he is also aware that West Ham play in a style more suited to Carroll’s game. .......Read the full article here

The Blackburn manager Sam Allardyce has stopped Arsenal from beating his teams at home for eight years in a row, and he intends to carry on that tradition today. He believes he knows the secret of stopping Arsenal using their skills (yeah…kick sh*t out of them) and is looking to do the same again today.
Allardyce was asked if he was annoyed that Wenger doesn’t join him for a drink after the game, but he brushed that off and replied: “It has never been the case with Arsene but that does not particularly worry me. What worries me is making sure that we must not let them beat us. .......Read the full article here

Arsene Wenger was asked about the upcoming game with Blackburn Rovers this week, and was reminded about how angry he was after least season’s defeat and his criticism about Blackburn’s agressive tactics. Wenger used the opportunity to remind the referee’s what are allowed in the rules……
“When a team plays long ball and head the ball and become physical I accept that completely and I respect that – but it has to be in respect of the rules,” said Wenger. “I believe everybody looks at his squad and tries to find a way where the game is most efficient and we developed one way. It is not the only way, I respect every other way as long as the referees get the rules respected. .......Read the full article here

The Blackburn manager Sam Allardyce was quite pleased that he had managed to engineer another victory over Arsenal, especially after announcing before the game that he knew how to beat Wenger’s teams, and he says that he DID identify Fabianski as the “weak link” in the Arsenal side and deliberately played to unsettle the Polish keeper.
“If you expose the opposition’s weaknesses enough then in the end those weaknesses will be exposed,” Allardyce said. “The amount of balls we put into the box on the keeper, who has obviously been a weak link for them, paid off.” .......Read the full article here
