Arsenal-target Begovic wants to play “at the highest level” 26

Posted on May 14, 2013 by admin

There have been thousands of Arsenal transfer rumours linking us with the Stoke keeper Asmir Begovic ever since the Potters snapped up Jack Butland in the January transfer window, opening the door for Begovic to move on to bigger and better things.

It was originally thought that both Chelsea and Man United may challenge Arsenal for the talented Bosnian shotstopper, but both of those have two top keepers at the club already, so it looks like Arsenal will now have a clear run for Begovic this summer.

Time for the Fans to stand up and demand our Arsenal back!!! 127

ARSENAL’S FANS SHOULD STAND AND ASK FOR KROENKE EXIT by MA

I have been an Arsenal fan since the first time I saw the red and white jersey raising majestically high in the sky of Highbury. My family’s older generations have always been Liverpool supporters. But my heart beats for Arsenal and I am proud to be a Gunner.

If only Arsenal had eleven Jack Wilshere’s! 45

TEAM JACK by AS

All of us have been watching yet another year of our Arsenal team cleaning their dressing rooms and going back home, not just empty handed, but begging for a 4th place in the league with the likes of Tottenham , Everton and lately Liverpool all trying to knock us off our pedestal.

And it’s a shame to say really that any of those teams are better than us – Tottenham ( and yes it hurts ) have got a better squad then ours and a star player (Bale), but most of all a team willing to fight.

Arsenal debate: How can we make the board listen to the fans views? 106

Who are we to say – ‘There needs to be change at Arsenal Football Club’ by JM

Arsenal Football Club and the clubs board do not know, well they certainly do not take us seriously. Are we as a fan base happy with the last seven years? Are we happy with inconsistency and our goal of finishing just top four which has now turned into a scrap to keep our heads afloat. Are we happy seeing some of the best footballers the world has to offer leave. Are we happy with replacing them with ‘Potential’ at best or more usually some of the biggest flops this club has ever seen. Are we happy at paying the highest ticket prices?

Why Arsenal should start listening to the fans… 37

Fans should be thanked not dismissed. by GP

Hello fellow Gooners, With the current situation regarding our beloved football team being a major concern to most of us, I’m sure we all have our point of view on what needs to be done. However i would like to say a few words about the clubs most important commodity… Us the fans.

At various stages in our lives we all decided that Arsenal was the club for us. We were not invited or forced into it although the club runs deep in many families. Regardless of age or sex we have invested time money and most importantly for a fan, emotions into this great club. We have experienced great joy and great disappointment but whether we realised it at the time, we were all interconnected.

The Arsenal Board is clearly lacking ambition… 72

Clear lack of ambition by Arsenal Board by RJK

The Arsenal Board and the Manager are taking the fans for granted. They forget the team is only there because of the fans. They continue to charge top dollar for replica shirts, memorabilia, gate charges, meals and drinks yet they are unwilling to change a philosophy which has failed time and time again (8 years now).

A great physicist, Albert Einstein once said ‘doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results is the definition of insanity’. Why is the board not signing a world class player to lead the team to trophies? Falcao from Athletico Madrid is one such player. For 45 million pounds which is a par figure for top players now he can bring 40 plus goals leading to trophies.

Usmanov attacks Arsenal Board again, but admits he’s made a fortune from the shares! 62

Posted on August 09, 2012 by admin

The Russian billionaire Alisher Usmanov owns 29.9% of the shares in Arsenal and admits that the price of those shares has doubled since he started investing in them, although he qualifies that by saying that he would never sell them. And why should he if they keep going up?

But first of all, despite the investment that Arsenal have made in the squad this summer, Usmanov still doesn’t think Arsenal are being ambitious enough to actually win the League.

He said: “Disregarding the series of trophyless seasons, you have to accept that a few of the current board of directors were at the helm during the greatest moments of the Arsene Wenger era,”

Arsenal DON’T need Alisher Usmanov. Here is why…….. 168

Do Arsenal Fans Want A Sugar Daddy Too? - by JG

A truly disappointing wave of supporters, lie in wait of bad news, then rush the blogs in angry (misinformed) discontent and veracious temperaments, bursting their brains over circumstantial evidence and emotional overflow.

“We want a sugar daddy! We want a sugar daddy! Yes Yes Yes!” This can easily be translated to “We want to be more like Chelsea and Man City! We want to be more like Chelsea and Man City!”

As the old saying goes “Money is the root of all evil” and it’s one of the best old sayings around, because in this day and age, it’s validity can be seen on a daily maybe even hourly basis.

PROOF that the Arsenal Board have no ambition! 93

Posted on January 18, 2012 by admin

I am finding it very hard to come to terms with the fact that one of the top men on the board of Arsenal football Club is not bothered whether Arsenal qualify for the Champions League or not, and I am shocked by the implications of Peter Hill-Wood’s words.

Most Arsenal fans are aware that the reason Arsenal isn’t in the Top Four is because we have lost many of our best players over the last few seasons and replaced them with inferior models, but Peter Hill-Wood is not worried as it won’t affect the budget.

Hill-Wood said: “From a financial point of view, not qualifying for the Champions League is quite a blow.

Wenger – Van Persie will leave if Arsenal don’t fight for title 33

Posted on January 02, 2012 by admin

The record-breaking Arsenal striker Robin Van Persie is refusing to talk about any contract extension at the Emirates until next summer, and up until now Wenger has merely commented that he is sure the Dutch international will re-sign in the end.

But now he has revealed that Van Persie won’t sign unless Arsenal show ambition, and also the Gunners need to be fighting for the Premiership title by the end of the season.

Wenger was directly asked what Arsenal needed to do to keep their captain at the club next season, and he replied: “Continue to improve and be capable to fight for the top of the league. Robin is an ambitious player and when you have his quality of course you want him to do that.

Bendtner – I was sick of waiting at Arsenal, now I want the Golden Boot! 16

Posted on September 17, 2011 by admin

Nicklas Bendtner always talked a good game but never quite managed to convince Arsene Wenger or the Arsenal fans of his ability, but now that he has finally made his debut for Sunderland he seems to have regained his old confidence and is aiming to be the top scorer in the Premier League.

The Black Cats play Stoke City tomorrow and Bendtner could have ended up there if things had turned out differently this summer, but that wasn’t what the big Dane wanted to talk about.

“There were a lot of other clubs interested, but that doesn’t matter any more,” said Bendtner. “The main thing is that I’m here.

Wenger – At least the Arsenal fans aren’t bored! 9

Posted on April 10, 2011 by admin

Arsene Wenger is not worried that he will be considered a failure after he finally retires from Arsenal, but thinks he has consistently trained teams that have been entertaining for the paying public.

“My worry is to do as well as I can with the team and get them to play decent football so that the people who come and pay for their tickets are not bored,” he said. “The way I am remembered is not my concern.

“I have watched a lot of games in my life and I think we have a clear conscience. We do not try to cheat our people, we do not always manage to but we try to give them something for the money they spend.
