The night before Arsenal faced Liverpool at Anfield this weekend, it seems that a London scaffolder called Stuart Smith was in Liverpool City Centre with a local girl when he was brutally attacked by a bunch of Arsenal supporters outside the Chameleon club in Back Colquitt Street. The victim was taken to the Royal Hospital but died soon after his arrival.

A great day for Arsene Wenger’s new Arsenal team as they took all three points from a visit to Anfield. Things were hardly all one way at the start as Liverpool tried to over-run the Gunners in the first 15 minutes.
But Arsenal slowly and patiently worked their way into the game and it was a brilliant breakaway goal from Podolski that gave the Gunners the lead, although Pepe Reina really should have blocked it from that angle. But Thankyou Pepe! 1-0.
After that, it was end to end stuff with a bit of hassle from that little “censored” Luis Suarez continually trying to get Vermaelen in trouble, but Arsenal held on to the lead until half-time. .......Read the full article here

The Arsenal coach Arsene Wenger feels that Liverpool outplayed his team in the first half, but after failing to kill the game off, some “fear” crept int their game, while Arsenal had nothing to lose!
