After a grand total of one competitive appearance for the Gunners, against Olympiakos in the champion’s league in 2009, Kyle Bartley has decided to call an end to his Arsenal career. I am not really being fair to the lad, he was desperate to play for Arsenal but never quite managed to force himself in to contention.
Swansea City’s new manager Michael Laudrup has taken the 21-year old centre back to Wales, and Bartley has told reporters that it was Swansea’s style of football that convinced him to give up on his dream of being a Gunner. .......Read the full article here
Is Kyle Bartley A Failed Experiment? – By JG
Although Arsenal fans are jubilant over the coming fresh faces who will be gracing the front lines in the Arsenal attack, most feel that the back line also needs more quality. This is a reasonable request considering that most reports are saying that Djourou and Squillaci are leaving Arsenal this summer, and should be attempting to find teams that are more on par with their abilities and that would give them playing time.

There is one centre-back that will not be at Arsenal next season, as it has been revealed this morning that the 20 year-old Kyle Bartley will be returning to Rangers for the whole of the coming season.

Vito Mannone was loaned out to Hull in January but had to return to Arsenal because he was injured.
Armand Traore went to Juventus on loan for the season after Wenger decided he wasn’t needed at Arsenal, and was promptly injured at the beginning of the season. He has returned to fitness now but Wenger obviously doesn’t think he is good enough anyway. .......Read the full article here
