It seems that Fran Merida may not be the only Arsenal youngster leaving the Emirates this summer, since it was revealed tonight that Bordeaux have been courting the young French striker Gilles Sunu, and seemingly persuading him to return to his homeland on a free transfer this summer.
Sunu has been the subject of an approach by Derby to get him on loan for the rest of the season, but the Mirror reports that Arsene Wenger is not keen on letting him go ” in case he is spotted by another English club”. Read the full article here

The seemingly never-ending saga of Marouane Chamakh’s move from Bordeaux to Arsenal is now looking more and more certain. Chamakh admitted last week that if he had the choice on where to move in the summer, he would choose the Emirates, and it seems that Wenger has now confirmed that he still likes the Morroccan striker, but fell short of admitting it was a done deal.
When asked on French television about Chamakh’s desire to join Arsenal, Wenger said: “In life you have should achieve your dreams, above all you should try for them,” Read the full article here

The long time Arsenal target Marouane Chamakh was expected to be sold by Bordeaux in January so that the club could get a transfer fee for the Moroccan striker, but he has now said that he is definitely going to stay in France until the summer.
It was thought that Arsene Wenger would make another pitch for Chamakh in January, as Arsenal are desperate for a top class striker to replace the injured Robin Van Persie, but Wenger will now have to cross him off the list. Read the full article here

With the news that Robin Van Persie will be out for the rest of the season, will Arsene Wenger finally realise that he needs to draft another striker into the Arsenal team?
Could it be possible that Wenger has already come to an arrangement with the Bordeaux striker for him to move to the Emirates at Christmas?
Chamakh said the other day: “I just want to achieve a great season with Bordeaux and maybe then sign for a club in the Premier League.
“However it would be fine moving in January for a fee so everyone could take advantage of the transfer.” Read the full article here

The Bordeaux striker Marouane Chamakh saw his team qualify for the knockout stages of the Champions League, but still reiterated that he wanted to move to the Premiership next year, and if it would help Bordeaux to get a transfer fee then he would even move in January.
It seems that the reported interest from Juventus has not stopped him wishing to move to England, probably as he scored in a 2-0 win over the Italian team in the Champions League. Read the full article here

The Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger recently admitted that he came close to signing the Bordeaux striker Marouane Chamakh in the summer, and said that he may consider another move for the in-form striker.
Wenger said: “He is a player we were close to signing, but at the moment we have lost a little bit of touch with him because there is no transfer period now. We might reconsider the position if it is needed in January.”
Chamakh himself then decided to put off speculation by saying that he will put off any decision until Christmas, when the Champions League Group stages are decided. Read the full article here
