An unfortunate Goodbye for Djourou by AH
Johan Djourou is set to leave the club. To be honest, I think this is a shame for the club. Djourou was loyal to Arsenal having come through all the ranks and he was determined to do well for the club and take us to the next level. Djourou played an important role in the side back in the 2010-2011 season, and he was out best centre back at times. In my opinion Djourou is one of the best 4th choice centre backs in the league and it’s a shame we are looking at letting him go, however its fair play that he wants regular playing time and with Laurent Koscielny, Per Mertesacker and Thomas Vermaelen at Arsenal, its unlikely he will ever make another strong breakthrough into the team as a regular and so it seems we will have to let him go. .......Read the full article here

I am sure all Arsenal fans are sick to death of these rumours about Real Madrid’s Nuri Sahin, but I can now give you proof that he has signed for the Gunners in a one year loan deal.
It was reported this morning that Liverpool were back in the driving seat after Sahin’s agent spent the weekend up in Liverpool, but now the Independent has announced that the Turkish international has passed a medical at London Colney and could play in this weekends game against Stoke City.
But for those of you who will say that this STILL isnt proof enough that he has chosen Arsenal, then what about this pic here? This photo has appeared in the NationalTurk a couple of hours ago…… .......Read the full article here

Jeez…. Arsenal certainly know how to spring a surprise! Just minutes after a terrible 0-0 draw with Sunderland the official Arsenal website decide to announce that Song has gone to Barcelona.
The announcement said: Arsenal Football Club can confirm that terms have been agreed for the transfer of Alex Song to Barcelona.
Song will now travel to the Catalan club to agree personal terms and undergo a medical ahead of the proposed move.
Further updates will feature on Arsenal.com.
WTF! Were they hoping that all the fans would be extremely happy after massacring the easy Sunderland team (NOT!) and wouldn’t care if we lost yet ANOTHER of our best players to another arch enemy. .......Read the full article here

The worst kept secret since Lukas Podolski’s move to Arsenal has finally come to pass. The fans were truly sick of waiting for the official announcement even though Cazorla travelled with the Arsenal squad for the pre-season game in Koln.
Arsene Wenger was more than happy with his third acquisition of this transfer window. He said: Arsène Wenger said: “Santi Cazorla is a great signing for us. He is a player with good experience at both club and international level, who will add significant quality to our squad.
“He is a versatile, attacking midfield player who can play comfortably on either side of the pitch or centrally. He has good pace, is technically gifted and will be a huge asset to Arsenal Football Club. .......Read the full article here

Arsenal’s Afobe on loan to Bolton! by KJ
Arsenal have announced that Benik Afobe will go on loan to Bolton for coming season. Bolton unfortunately were relegated to the Championship but are hopeful on returning to their rightful place in the Premier League.
I like Bolton. They’re an honest club with a quality manager. They’re very different from Arsenal in the sense that they’re more physical and depend more on long balls but this is certainly a positive for Arsenal players that are loaned there as they get to learn the physical side of the game. It greatly benefited Wilshere and Miyaichi would’ve learnt a lot with Coyle. .......Read the full article here

This is definitely lining up to be one of the best Arsenal transfer windows ever with Lukas Podolski, Olivier Giroud and now Santi Cazorla already confirmed as Arsenal players and still with one month to go of the transfer window!
Although (as usual!) there is no official announcement on Arsenal.com it has been confirmed by the respected Guardian newspaper as well as the player himself. The latest article in the Gueadian says: Santi Cazorla has undergone his medical at Arsenal and the club are poised to announce his £16m signing from Málaga, which they hope will be followed by the loan of Real Madrid’s Nuri Sahin. Cazorla stands to travel with the Arsenal squad on their training excursion to Germany next week and make his debut in the friendly against FC Köln. .......Read the full article here

So the second worst-kept Arsenal transfer rumour secret has finally been brought out in the open at last, as Olivier Giroud has finally been confirmed as an Arsenal player on the official website.
Arsene Wenger was understandably pleased to secure his second top international striker of the transfer window: He said: “We are delighted to have secured the signing of Olivier Giroud. He has a very good physical presence and is exceptional in the air, with a great work ethic. We are excited about Olivier joining us and he will add an additional dimension to our attacking options next season. .......Read the full article here

The Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has made the comment that Olivier Giroud was 90% an Arsenal player this week, but now it seems he is 100% certain that the Montpellier striker will be wearing red and white next season.
Wenger is not only sure Giroud will sign, he also thinks he will fit easily into the Arsenal style of play. Wenger said yesterday: “Giroud is going to be an Arsenal player next season. I think he has exceptional potential and will integrate very well in our collective and our way of playing.
“He is a real team player and knows how to combine with other players and I’m sure he will do well with us.” .......Read the full article here

Wenger is 90% sure Giroud will come to Arsenal! by KJ
So today, Wenger announced on French TV TF1 that Giroud to Arsenal is 90% done. That’s one hell of a statement to make. It really does show how confident he is in this deal being completed. Here are the quotes: “Giroud didn’t play much (at the Euros so far), but he’s going to be an Arsenal player 90 per cent next season.”
“I think he has exceptional potential and will integrate very well in our collective and our way of playing.”

It will not be formally announced until after Euro 2012, or after France are knocked out of the competition, but Arsenal have secured the services of Olivier Giroud from Montpellier. This means that Arsene Wenger has got two of his main targets for next season already, and the sounds coming from Yann M’Vila are also very encouraging.
This is not how summer transfer dealings are supposed to go for the Gunners. We Gooners expect lots of false hope closely followed by deep despair every summer. Maybe Ivan Gazidis was telling us the truth this time, and Arsenal are determined not to get left behind by the big spenders. .......Read the full article here
