Could this be the start of a new era at Arsenal? There is a report in today’s Sun that says that Lukasz Fabianski has suffered a leg injury, and that the young Pole Wojciech Szczesny is to be thrown in at the deep end by facing Man Utd at Old Trafford this evening.

Szczesny has never made a Premier League appearance before, but Arsene Wenger has always maintained faith in the fact he will be Arsenal’s Number One one day, and persuaded the youngster to sign a new contract just last month. The England manager Fabio Capello has given his England squad a complete shake-up, and has dropped half the players that he took to South Africa for the disastrous World Cup campaign.

I revealed last week that the Arsenal legend Thierry Henry had left Barcelona and is due to be unveiled by the New York Red Bulls on Thursday, and has now been officially announced , and his first match will be against the dreaded Spuds in a “friendly” game on the 22nd July!
