Betting Preview for Fulham vs. Arsenal 11

Posted on April 19, 2013 by Bob

With eight wins, two draws and just one defeat in the last 11 Premier League games, it is no surprise that Arsenal are clear favourites in the Betfair Premier League betting to beat Fulham at Craven Cottage tomorrow, so a basic Gunners win will only get you 3/4. However, Fulham have a decent record against Arsenal recently, with three draws and a win against us in the last four games.

For that reason, along with the missed chances against Everton combined with Arsenal’s away form, the 3/1 on offer for a draw is much better value than the 4/1 for a shock Fulham win. It is likely to be a nervous affair, at least for us, and Arsenal have let in just 14 goals in 16 away games in the Premier League, so 12/1 on a no score draw could be worth a go.

Arsenal v Everton – Did Wenger play for a draw? 51

Did Arsene Play For A Draw? by Chunners

There were obvious hints in the Arsenal team selection against Everton that Arsene Wenger wanted to boss the midfield with a high work-rate. Arteta, Ramsey and Wilshere have had really low goal and assists stats this season, so it was likely we wouldn’t be getting too much of a goal threat from our midfield. But was this the whole point of the game? Did Wenger want to play for a draw?

Tottenham vs Arsenal preview, match line up and score line prediction by KJ

This is arguably the biggest game of the season so far considering not only the rivalry between the two clubs but the context between it. We are 4 points off Tottenham who currently sit in the 4th spot and a win is imperative if we want to apply some real pressure to the likes of Chelsea and Tottenham.

This game is going to be massive. The atmosphere is going to be tense with all fans knowing the enormity of what’s at stake. This will most likely be decided by the team not on form but the team that has the most bottle. There are goals in this for sure.

Wenger – Arsenal’s defenders were nervous but it is great entertainment! 73

Once again Arsenal made it hard for themselves by conceding early goals in last night’s draw with Liverpool, and Arsene Wenger admitted that his defence was nervous because of the previous misdemeanours in recent games, but he praised the players for the excellent comeback.

He said after the game: “I believe that first of all, it was a great football game where both teams really went for it and you could see that it was top level entertainment overall. We could have lost the game or won the game by three or four goals difference. That shows that we have created many chances going forward, but we were nervous defensively. The two goals we have conceded today have shown that we were nervous from the start at the back, but overall we have shown great quality and tremendous spirit.

Alex Song wants Barcelona to beat Arsenal in Champions League 35

Posted on December 19, 2012 by admin

The ex-Arsenal star Alex Song was surprisingly sold to Barcelona this summer, but is hoping that he is given a chance to return to the Emirates after tomorrow’s Champions League draw, but assures his new team that they will have no problem coming away from Arsenal with a win.

The Cameroon international said yesterday: “Of course I would like to play against Arsenal. For me to go back there, where I had seven magnificent years, would be something very special,”

“If we draw Arsenal I’d be happy to see the fans again and go back to the club, even though if we go there it will be to get the best result possible.

Wenger – A draw was fair but Arsenal are still in title race 67

Posted on November 29, 2012 by admin

Arsene Wenger watched his Arsenal team draw 1-1 at Goodison Park last night despite Theo Walcott giving the Gunners a lead in the very first minute of the game,, but the Frenchman atill thinks that was a fair result against a strong Everton team that haven’t lost at home since April.

“Overall, if I look back at the game, it was one of big physical intensity.” Wenger said. “We had a good start and after that I felt Everton came back. Their direct game was always a threat with Fellaini. We have regrets on the goal we conceded but overall, I believe that 1-1 is a fair result.

Wenger gets it wrong…Again! by BD

Not for the first time has the professor got it wrong this season, but now the fans are getting agitated, the football is clearly suffering, what is the best way going forward for Arsenal Football Club.

Footballs all about winning, whoever told you otherwise may have never had the privilege of picking up a trophy, if you don’t think so, ask the owner of our neighbors. Abramovich has been ruthless since he took over Chelsea in 2003, firing his 9th manager in nine years. Behold those 9 years have brought some success, 3 league titles, 4 FA cups, 2 league cups, 2 community shields and of course that one champions league. Now some may disagree with his style of business, in fact Wenger disagrees with it, criticizing the mega rich mogul over the sacking of Di Matteo.

Arsenal improved tactically – But the draw was a fair result 37

Schalke vs Arsenal: Better but frustrating by VSM

It was better than what I was expecting, is how to sum that match up. Given recent form, I wasn’t the only worried gooner expecting to leave without a point, but the Arsenal team delivered a performance that was closer to what we expected. Certainly areas to improve on, but no one can doubt that that was a better performance than what we produced against Man Utd, from a tactical point of view at least.

Arsenal didn’t want to draw AC Milan, but we can beat them again! 27

Posted on December 17, 2011 by admin

It was just in the 2007/2008 season when Theo Walcott ran the whole length of the field in a quick counter attack from Arsenal before squaring the ball to Emmanuel Adebayor to put the ball in the net for 2-0 Arsenal. Entering the match at San Siro 0-0 on aggregate, a lot of pressure was on Arsenal to come away with a result and they delivered on a night filled with anxiety.

This time, Arsenal face off against the Italian champions again. Coming off a Scudetto winning season, the red side of Milan are now in full of confidence. Thought to be the strongest opponent amongst the group runners up, Milan were the team Arsenal wanted to avoid most in the first round of the knockout stages but I guess that was just ‘karma’ for finishing top of the group by just a small margin.

Such a different Arsenal for West Brom to face 7

Posted on November 05, 2011 by admin

Arsenal’s 2-2 all draw with West Brom in March was among the worst overall displays of the season, with so many players failing to live up to any level of expectation. They were lucky to escape with a draw and the confidence-draining result led them to another draw the very next week against Blackburn.

However, despite there only being seven months between then and now, Roy Hodgson’s men will face such a different team. Of course, every contest is different regardless of the time period between the games but in this case, the challenge really is an incomparable prospect.
