Should Szczesny return for Arsenal v Reading?

There does not seem to be any lingering problems between Arsene Wenger and Wojciech Szczesny. The usual Arsenal number one has not played for the last two games against Bayer Munich and Swansea City because of a dip in form and what Wenger referred to as having problems`mentally`.

An astonishing outburst by the keeper’s father followed, in which he slated Wenger and the club, but Szczesny quickly distanced himself from those comments and professed his love for the club and his respect for Wenger. He has also responded well to being dropped, apparently. Many thought he would not take it well, but it may have been the kick he needed to keep his focus and concentration on playing well, working hard and improving his game.

Eden Hazard’s father confirms Tottenham interest

Most Arsenal fans (especially me!) were gobsmacked when the young Belgian Eden Hazard talked about the possibility of joining the Gunners great rivals Tottenham Hotspur this week.

It was thought that Hazard was just putting other clubs on alert by saying he would join Spurs, but today his father has actually confirmed that his Spurs ARE interested in buying his son, although he emphasised that no official offer had yet been received.

Thierry Hazard said: “For now I can only say what Eden said on Monday on TV: Yes, there is interest from Spurs, and no, there’s no offer.

Dortmund – We’re STILL not interested in Bendtner!

The father of Nicklas Bendtner is either very determined that his son will end up playing for Borussia Dortmund or he is playing a serious game of cat-and-mouse with the press.

A month ago he told reporters that both Dortmund and Sporting Lisbon had both put in offers for his son, and both teams moved very quickly to deny that they had any interest whatsoever.

But last week the father was yet again quoted in the a Danish paper Sporten: “There is an interest from several German clubs,”

“I can confirm that Borussia Dortmund wish to buy.”

Arsenal want 10m Euros for Munich-bound Nicklas Bendtner?

The Arsenal striker Nicklas Bendtner has made it clear that he is looking for a new club this summer, and the Dane’s father has said that Bayern Munich had previously declared an interest and he is hoping that they will follow it up with a concrete bid.

The Guardian, which doesn’t normally do crazy Arsenal transfer rumours, has a quote from Thomas Bendtner which makes his position very clear. He said: “Nicklas has made his decision and told Arsenal: he wants to leave the club,”
