Arsenal could build a strong fanbase core! by AH
With the comments Szczesny made today it made me realise we really could have the next generation of a real competitive club which is full of true supporting players who will be playing their hearts out for this club week in week out.
Szczesny told Arsenal.com;
“I think there’s a lot of players in this team that are genuine Gooners. You’ve got people like Carl Jenkinson, there’s Jack Wilshere, Emmanuel Frimpong – a lot of young players who really feel it’s the biggest honour they could have, to play for this club. I think that’s very important for the future.” .......Read the full article here

There have been reports linking Arsenal with a number of different keepers recently, which has led to some speculation about the future of the current number one at the Emirates, Wojciech Szczesny. The Polish international was missed by Arsenal at the start of the season, but has been in great form since returning.
The reason that Arsenal have been looking at other keepers was widely believed to be for some competition and quality cover for the 22-year old. There have been rumours, however, that the real reason was that Arsene Wenger was worried about his commitment to Arsenal, although he only signed a long term contract two years ago. .......Read the full article here

The Arsenal reserve team played the first game of the Elite group stage today behind closed doors against West Bromwich Albion. Perhaps Arsenal did not want anyone to see just how fit and ready for action some of the players are, but it does seem like Abou Diaby and Emmanuel Frimpong will be available to help the Gunners through the gruelling fixture list we are about to face.
The coach, Terry Burton, selected a strong team consisting of;
Mannone
Jenkinsom, Angha, Hajrovic, Santos
Oxlade-Chamberlain, Diaby, Coquelin, Frimpong

Arsenal are proud of the youth system and rightly so, as it has produced some key players for Arsenal. Arsene Wenger is keen for that to continue, and has revealed that he would prefer it if the players coming through were local, ot at least British, as he feels that they would then be more likely to stay at the club.
Wenger is confident that one of the best players ever to come through the Arsenal youth system, Jack Wilshere, will not cause problems with signing a new contract because he is a local lad who has been with the club since he was nine years old. .......Read the full article here

Emmanuel Frimpong joined Arsenal when he was nine years old, at around the same time as Jack Wilshere, but his progress into the first team for the Gunners has not been as easy as Wilshere’s. Arsene Wenger rates the 20-year old very highly, though, and believes he will star for us in the future.
Wenger and Frimpong decided that he needs to play regularly, that is why the midfielder has gone on loan to Championship side Charlton until the end of the year. Frimpong made his debut for Chris Powell’s side on Saturday for the visit of Huddersfield, and impressed his new manager during his 66 minutes on the pitch. .......Read the full article here

The Arsenal midfielder Emmanuel Frimpong has only recently returned from injury and Arsene Wenger thinks that he now needs some regular first team football to get himself back into shape. With the midfielders currently at Arsenal’s disposal, Frimpong is unlikely to get much playing time at the moment so Wenger has arranged for the Ghana international to go on loan to Charlton until January.
Strangely enough, Charlton was the team that helped Alex Song improve enough to become an Arsenal first-team regular, and Frimpong is hoping that this loan period help him to emulate Song. Frimpong said: “Hopefully I can follow in Alex’s footsteps. .......Read the full article here
