Brighton boss Poyet wants to manage Arsenal 38

Posted on January 25, 2013 by Bob

Arsenal travel to Brighton tomorrow for the fourth round of the FA cup, and Arsene Wenger knows that the game will not be easy. The current manager of the Seagulls, Gus Poyet, has done great things for the club since joining them just over three years ago. He got them promoted from League one in his first full season and was voted manager of the year.

Poyet has produced a good footballing side at Brighton and they are currently just one place off the play off positions. He is hoping to inflict another cup upset on Arsenal tomorrow, but has his sights set higher than that. Poyet hopes to manage the Gunners one day, and hopes his playing career at Chelsea and Tottenham does not mean that the Arsenal fans would never accept him.

Arsenal are lined up to play Bradford on Tuesday for a place in the semi-finals of the Capital One Cup, and the Gunners are very hot favourites to book their place in the next round.

To celebrate getting one step closer to a date at Wembley, JustArsenal.com have teamed up with Xperience Days to give a family of four a free ticket for a tour of the Home of Football, the Emirates Stadium! This will be a fantastic experience for any up-and-budding young Gooners (and their parents!) and a day out they will never forget…

Giroud ready to repay Arsenal fans with Goals 40

Posted on December 05, 2012 by Bob

After making sly little digs about Arsenal throughout the Champions league programme last night, the ITV presenter Adrian Chiles, who is a West Brom fan, said something like `I bet they go and stuff us on Saturday now`. Well if Olivier Giroud has anything to do with it Adrian, we will. The French striker has spoken about how much it meant to him earlier in the season to know that the Arsenal fans were fully behind him.

“I’m a striker, and a striker needs to have a good atmosphere.

“You have to keep confident. The atmosphere around you, and the support of the fans, it makes me feel better and better.

Arsenal fans need to stop Battering Ramsey 68

Posted on November 28, 2012 by Bob

It seems that some Arsenal fans are determined to think the worst of Aaron Ramsey and would be perfectly happy if he never played for the Gunners again. I agree that he has not rediscovered the form that had people predicting a glittering career for the Welshman before his progress was halted by a horrific double fracture of his right leg, which kept him out for nearly a year. His return has been a slow process, with loans to Nottingham Forest and Cardiff City and a difficult season for Arsenal last year.

Arsenal will NOT lose Mannone to Italy 9

Posted on October 15, 2012 by Bob

Arsenal have two of the top three keepers in the squad out of action due to injury, so reports last week that Vito Mannone was looking for a return to Italy were about as welcome as a fart in a spacesuit. The 24-year old Italian keeper has reassured Gooners that he has no intention of leaving the Emirates anytime in the foreseeable future.

“I want to make it clear, because there have been unfounded rumours, that my contract is not ending in 12 months.

“I’ve got a few more years and I’m happy to be at Arsenal right now. I’m looking at the present and the future is not in doubt.

Why is Wenger reluctant to spend Arsenal transfer kitty in January? 38

Posted on October 14, 2012 by Bob

If you believe what the papers say then Arsenal are going to hand Arsene Wenger anything from £35 million up to over £50 million to spend on players in the January transfer window. Latest reports suggest that Le Prof is carefully considering whether to spend it or not.

Arsenal fans the world over could provide a quick and easy answer to that question, of course you spend it Arsene. We have heard Wenger saying that he would only buy players that he thought would improve the team and the squad size has to be taken into account, but surely he can think of at least one player.

Giroud vows to be a scoring sensation for Arsenal 26

Posted on October 08, 2012 by Bob

You could see what it meant to Olivier Giroud to score his first league goal for Arsenal on Saturday. The chances and blocked shots he had before his goal produced an expression of absolute agony on the face of the French international striker. When he did hit the back of the net, his delight and relief was echoed in the hearts of Gooners everywhere.

We all, or most of us, had faith in Giroud but each game in which he failed to score through bad luck, lack of opportunity or poor finishing left a little more doubt in our minds, and in his as well. The fact that he began the move from which he scored, and the fact that it was not a lucky or simple finish, will give the big man even more confidence. Giroud is sure that he will keep scoring regularly for the Gunners now he is off the mark.

Arsenal to offload Bendtner and get Mexes in return 56

Posted on August 20, 2012 by Bob

Morning Gooners. So today news has broke about our infamous striker being set to make a move to the Italian shores this week. There have been constant negotiations  over his departure from Arsenal but now it seems the Dane is on his way out.

The striker has made it clear he does not see his future with the club, whilst Arsene Wenger and Arsenal have confirmed he does not figure in their plans. The problem, as we all know, lies in Bendtner’s inflated ego. He obviously thinks he’s one of the best strikers the football world has yet to see and therefore is reluctant to move to just any club. The Dane stated,

Could the exit of Song BENEFIT Arsenal? 106

Song leaving is a good thing by Taki

I’m sure most of you know already that Song has left the building. Another player who was nourished by Wenger then allowed to leave. The sickening thing is not that Song has left or that Wenger continually praised him as one of the most improved players in the team, but rather that Barcelona purchased him for a ridiculously low price. At a reported 15million pounds it has to one of the buys of the season!!

What are Bendtner’s 3 demands? 51

Posted on August 14, 2012 by admin

“I have three demands and I won’t sign a deal with a club who aren’t prepared to fill those demands.”

What, I wonder, are these three conditions that Barcelona, Real Madrid, Juventus, United and every top club around the world will be desperately trying to achieve? No games on a Sunday because of hangovers perhaps? A separate, gold plated changing room just for Nick maybe? Does anybody know?

One of the demands must surely be a new insurance broker, after the Danish Talent of the Year 2007 was recently in trouble for driving with no cover. Bendtner apparently told Police that he had someone who sorts that out for him. Maybe he wants a clause in his contract that ensures that all fines will be taken care of, whether for criminal damage or publicity seeking buffoonery.

If only Arsenal played like this earlier this season! 20

Reality check/ Keeping the Faith/ Arsenal are sometimes cheap! by DKD

Good morning Gooners,

How have you been lately? Hopefully good, because by any chance if it’s bad, I can’t help you!

Things are going great at Arsenal presently. Five days back, the club made a new premier league record of four consecutive come-back victories. And it seems that there is a positive vibe coming from the players. Best part is that the fans are reacting to it.

Atts: Calm down everyone – We still all support Arsenal! 129

Arsenal My Team, Our Team by Atts

With all the rubbish coming out in the papers which might be true or not, all its doing is just working us against the club we support. I mean, I am reading now on many sites about fans boycotting the games or giving up their memberships or not even buying merchandise. I understand the views of the fans but we shouldn’t be turning our back against the team we love and support. We should be supporting Arsenal all the way no matter what state our club is in. Yes, we can voice our concerns but not by going against the club.
