Now we all know that Jack Wilshere is Arsenal through-and-through, but could he really be serious that he believes that Arsenal can still win the title, despite being 18 points behind Man United in eighth place right now, in fact we are only nine points above the relegation places!
The Gunners have won just two of their last seven games, and were knocked out of the League Cup by lowly Bradford last week, but Jack is still using the word “realistically” whereas “extremely hopefully” would be more accurate!
“We can still realistically win everything we are in. I know we are a long way behind in the Premier League but football changes quickly,” Wilshere said. .......Read the full article here

Transfer news of the day: Hernanes by KJ
The best of today’s Arsenal transfer rumours report that Lazio’s Hernanes is interested in a move to Arsenal.
I’ve been banging on about Arsenal needing to get a proper attacking midfielder and it looks like Wenger might be looking into that position.
The Brazilian was last week linked with Arsenal’s north London rivals, Tottenham and apparently there was some interest from Liverpool. However, according to today’s Mail, he is set to reject them both for a more beneficial move to the Emirates (wages and prospects). There was also a large interest from Anzhi but it is clear Hernanes is looking to compete amongst Europe’s best. .......Read the full article here

But today Wenger has revealed that Wilshere is going for a new indepth scan this coming week and the Frenchman sounds quietly optimistic that there will be a positive result from it and Wishere will still be able to play a part in the Arsenal squad this season.
Wenger said: “I hope that we will get good news from him because that is very important for Arsenal.” .......Read the full article here

The Man City manager Roberto Mancini has been sprouting off to the media (for a change) and in a very worrying statement, he has told Sky that he “is hopeful” that Samir Nasri will arrive at the Eastlands before the end of the month.
He didn’t admit that Man City had made an official offer, but he was definitely clear that he wanted Nasri to join the club quickly.
“At the moment, he is under contract with Arsenal.” Mancini said.
“Every day, the newspapers are saying that players are arriving at Manchester City, but I don’t know if a formal offer has been made for Nasri. .......Read the full article here

Last night it looked like Arsenal’s bid for Mark Schwarzer was dead in the water as it was revealed that Shay Given had decided to stay at Man City and fight for his place, but this morning Schwarzer is still hoping that a deal can be finalised before the transfer window closes.
He said: “I’m biding my time waiting for things to happen and then I’ll be on move – if you see what I mean. I’m hopeful, I’m always hopeful.” .......Read the full article here
