The Republic of Ireland manager Giovanni Trapattoni thinks that Kevin Doyle would be a fantastic addition to Arsenal, and he would be a better striker with the service the Gunners could give him in attack.
The Italian said: “I read this news about Arsenal and I will be very happy for him, because I think Kevin is ready to play with a great team.
“My experience is he is alone up front a lot, but I saw him many, many times alone against difficult defenders – like against Manchester United and Arsenal – against very strong opposition and I’m sure if he can have more passes of quality, transfer would be fantastic for him. .......Read the full article here

It is unusual for a matchday to have so many Arsenal transfer rumours around, but perhaps the papers assume that the season is all over (bar the shouting) for the Gunners.
The Blackburn youngster Phil Jones has been strongly linked with Arsenal lately, and today Wenger has admitted that he is interested in him, but doesn’t think he is ready to join Arsenal yet. As any Gooner will tell you, Wenger should only be looking at strong experienced defenders to stop the leaks in the Arsenal back line.
