Arsenal’s summer spending spree hasn’t gone to plan at all for Arsene Wenger and his transfer team. Whichever way you see it, being the club lying to the fans in a plot to continue to sell season tickets and merchandise, or whether Arsenal have genuinely tried but been extremely unlucky, at the end of the day we still find ourselves under a week away from the closure of the summer transfer window with just one addition to our name. .......Read the full article here
This transfer rumour should be good for a laugh. Arsenal are apparently the favourites to `land` QPR `star` Stephan Mbia this summer after they suffered relegation and their top earners are being moved on as quickly as possible, a report in today’s Daily Star has claimed.
Arsenal do need a defensive midfielder but the favourites for that honour are Lars Bender and Marouane Fellaini. Arsenal apparently made a £20 million bid for Bender that was rejected but that proves that the club aren’t interested in Mbia. If those targets are missed, there are Capoue, Kondogbia and about a hundred other players we would be looking at first. .......Read the full article here
The news that Abou Diaby is stepping up his recovery from injury should really make most Arsenal fans happy, but it has got to the point, with me anyway, that it just makes me even more worried. The Gunners were in exactly the same situation last summer, although the French international midfielder was closer to being fit then.

Inevitably it seems that Arsenal must look outside of ourselves and part with some cash if we are to find the proper solution. Of the names that have been thrown about by the media, the realistic and worthwhile targets would go as follows; Wanyama, Capoue, Kondogbia, Pogba and Gonalons.
Whilst the best of these is Juventus’ Paul Pogba he is simultaneously the least likely of the quintuplet to be sold. However it has been rumoured that he is understandably tired of the racist abuse he receives from backward Italian fans. .......Read the full article here
The last time that Arsenal won a major trophy was the 2005 FA cup final. Patrick Vieira scored the winning penalty against Manchester United in the shoot out, but that was his last of nearly 400 competitive matches for the club. Some might say that Arsenal have never adequately replaced the dynamic Frenchman, but that may be about to change this summer.
According to the Sun, Arsenal face strong competition from Chelsea, Man City and Real Madrid for the player seen as the next Patrick Vieira. Geoffrey Kondogbia, who plays for Sevilla in the Spanish Primera Liga, has a very similar game to the former Gunner. He is the same age as Vieira was when he signed from Juventus, and is also an under-21 French international player. .......Read the full article here
