What is a real Gooner? By DT
Recently I came across a thread where two Arsenal supporters were engaged in a heated discussion about what, as a fan, one could do to demonstrate against the current ownership/board at our club, and about one’s displeasure in the direction of our club. (This is not the topic I want to go into, of which many an article has been written about). The discussion digressed into name calling, and general conduct which fellow Gooners should not really participate in altogether. One of the fans was (what seemed to be) a UK resident, and travelled to Emirates regularly to see our team play, while the other fan did not live in the UK, but followed Arsenal from abroad. .......Read the full article here

There is a very interesting article today that has an interview with Robin Van Persie’s Mum and his wife Bouchra, and they are both VERY keen that the Dutchman should stay at Arsenal for the rest of his career.
Robin’s mum was especially effusive in her praise of Arsenal and the way the fans and the club have been so good to her famous son. She said in todays Mirror: “Arsenal is a beautiful club. They have no debts and Robin is being worshipped there.
“I honestly feel that the fans and the people at the club really love him. That is worth so much, too. .......Read the full article here

It looks like a three-way fight between the bitter London rivals of Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham for the two remaining Champions League places after the Manchester clubs.
Last nights brilliant 2-1 win over Newcastle has ruled the North-East team out of the race, but has put Arsenal just one point behind Spurs with Chelsea just three points behind.
Arsenals next three games are; away at Everton (probably the most difficult); home to struggling Aston Villa; and a short trip across London to Mark Hughes’ Queens Park Rangers on the 31st. If they win those three they will give the Gunners a perfect six out of six in March and a guaranteed lead over their rivals who face each other at Stamford Bridge on the 24th. .......Read the full article here

There is an excellent Arsenal transfer rumour out this morning saying that the brilliant Bayern Munich and Holland hitman Arjen Robben is fully intending to leave the Bundesliga this summer, and would love to return to London where he had three excellent season’s with Chelsea.
He has been turned on by the other Bayern players and the fans for “being selfish”, despite some immense performances in his time there, and really enjoyed his trip to Wembley last week when he scored the winner in Holland’s 3-2 win over England.
This has led today’s Mirror to suggest that he is looking for a return to a top London team, possibly Arsenal? .......Read the full article here

London will never be white or blue, it’ll always be Red. by KJ
What a game! It was exhilarating, brilliant but unexpected. I didn’t really think we’d put 5 past a Spurs team hailed as the best in half a century.
The build-up was intense. The whole concept of the shift in power from the red side of North London to the white was constantly referred to. It was extremely annoying to be honest. The Skysports presenters were doing their best to get balls deep in the likes of Modric, Bale, Scotty Parker and of course ‘Arry Redknapp. Little did they know Arsene was planning an almighty cock-block. .......Read the full article here

Throughout the summer one name kept cropping up when the words transfer and Arsenal were mentioned in the same breath. That name was Bolton Wanderers defender Gary Cahill. The transfer window may be closed, but the speculation does not stop and it looks like Cahill will be moving to London in January after all.
Cahill may be moving to London, but it will not be to Arsenal. Well according to SkyBet that is anyway. Chelsea are the early favourites to land the England International with 4/5 (1.80) available this morning. Arsenal are a big price of 5/1 (6.0), and at the same price of 5/1 (6.0) are Spurs. .......Read the full article here
