Wenger – Arsenal can’t expect an easy ride against Man United 15

Posted on April 28, 2013 by admin

There are a lot of Arsenal fans that will be hoping that Man United (and Robin Van Persie) will not be playing their best as they have already won the Premiership title, and hopefully will be suffering from a hangover after all that celebrating, but Arsene Wenger is not counting on them doing us any favours.

One thing to keep in mind is that United could still break Chelsea’s record for the most points gained in a Premiership season, not to mention that RVP is now in the driving seat for the Golden Boot, so they still have sometjing big to play for.

Wenger said: “It’s easy to ease off, yes,”

Arsenal fans shouldn’t take it out on Van Persie… 63

Don’t blame Robin! by DK

“As announced earlier this year I had a meeting with the Boss and Mr. Gazidis after the season. This was a meeting about the club’s future strategy and their policy. Out of my huge respect for Mr. Wenger, the players and the fans I don’t want to go into any details, but unfortunately in this meeting it has again become clear to me that we in many aspects disagree on the way Arsenal FC should move forward.”

The Arsenal team to beat Man Utd – just add some fight and hard work! 37

How to beat United! by Big Gun

Arsenal should use The Ox, Podolski and Walcott as strikers. Leave Podolski as CF because Ox and Walcott are much better suited on the wings, they can use their speed more effectively. Let’s not forget, Ox is ambi-dexterous, so if he wants to cut in and have a shot, he can. He can cross equally well with his left foot.

As for the midfield, I would play Santi as CAM, and keep with Arteta and Ramsey as holding midfielders. Although Ramsey was horrible in his last game, with his work rate he can assist both Arteta and Santi up front. We need someone as hard working as him especially against United. If we are desperate for goals, I would swap him for Jack, and play Jack next to Santi.

The Ox – Beating Man Utd would be massive for Arsenal 16

Posted on April 24, 2013 by admin

The Arsenal winger Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is well aware of the importance of this weekends game against Manchester United, not only because it will put the Gunners in the driving seat for the Champions League places, but also because it will give Arsene Wenger’s squad a great boost of confidence to launch a challenge for the Premiership title next season.

The Ox likens this game to the Champions League match against Bayern Munich in Germany, and the incredible 2-0 win at the Allianz Arena set the Gunners on a run of six games unbeaten, and he believes a win this weekend would have the same effect. He said: “The win over Bayern Munich last month wasn’t enough to get us to qualify for the Champions League quarter-finals, but it was still a massive boost for us as a side,”

Mario Gotze not interested in Arsenal switch – ever! 75

Posted on April 16, 2013 by admin

The young Dortmund star Mario Gotze has been the subject of many Arsenal transfer rumours lately, and it has been mentioned that Arsene Wenger was willing to break his transfer record to bring the talented midfielder to the Emirates, but now the player himself seems to have ruled out any possible move to Arsenal either now or in the future.

Gotze’s agent Volker Struth said yesterday: ‘Mario has not even thought about leaving Dortmund in 2013. He is totally not interested in that and will stay at least another season.’

Why Arsenal will only get second-class players this summer…. 52

Posted on April 12, 2013 by admin

There are many rumours linking Arsenal with some of the best players in Europe, and although we all wish to believe that Arsene Wenger will only splash the cash on top, top, top players (as he always insists) we all know that there are certain reasons why they rarely pick Arsenal if they have choices.

The reasons for this have now been explained by the ex-Gunner Perry groves who spoke out yesterday: “Arsene Wenger will try to spend big, but the players he’s going to be in for, the likes of Manchester United, Manchester City and Chelsea will be in for as well.

Ferguson expects Arsenal to improve next season 43

Posted on April 07, 2013 by admin

The Man United manager Alex Ferguson has seen his team run away with this season’s Premiership title, but he has been assessing the chances of the Red Devils retaining the title next year. It seems that he thinks Jose Mourinho will be returning to Stamford Bridge and could provide the biggest challenge, but he tips Arsenal to improve and threaten to surprise their rivals.

Fergie said: “You’d expect – if José goes back to Chelsea – a big challenge there.

“Manchester City won’t go away, with the money they’ve got. And I think Arsenal will improve – there’s some indication that Arsenal are building a better squad than people think – and Tottenham have been progressing for a couple of years now. So it’s a hard league to win, there’s no doubt about that.

Arsenal and Man United set to have bidding war for Stoke City stopper 34

Posted on February 04, 2013 by admin

The Stoke City boss Tony Pulis pulled off one of the best transfer coups in January by securing the up-and-coming England keeper Jack Butland for just 4 million from Birmingham, and can now rest happy that they will be making a massive profit in the summer when the much improved Asmir Begovic is set to be moving on to better things.

The Man United boss Alex Ferguson is already set to bid around 15 million for the big Bosnian and can see him taking over as the main man at Old Trafford until David De Gea manages to iron out the weaknesses in his game.

Looking On the Bright Side by JT

It’s been a long hard season for us Arsenal fans so far this season, and many times I’ve read the many articles of fans of wanting Wenger head!

People that agree with Piers Morgan are not Arsenal fans in my book!

Arsene is paid to do a job and of course we would like to win trophies, though if the board were unhappy with his performance they would have sacked him.

With any job you’re given objectives and targets and if you don’t meet those objectives then you’re shown the door.

United to take advantage of Arsenal’s dithering over Zaha 30

Posted on January 17, 2013 by Bob

Arsene Wenger has opened the door for Manchester United to secure the services of Arsenal transfer target and fan of the Gunners, Wilfried Zaha. Wenger has declared that he wants to get the Theo Walcott contract situation sorted out before he makes any new signings, so Alex Ferguson is preparing to launch a bid today or tomorrow for the Crystal Palace winger.

Ian Holloway is resigned to losing his young star in the summer but has already stated that he would like his future to be resolved so that it does not play on the mind of Zaha and affect his performances. United are willing to let the 20-year old stay at Selhurst Park for the rest of the season if Palace accept an offer of just £6 million, according to the Daily Mail.

Arsenal Title Challenge unlikely but not impossible 75

Posted on January 11, 2013 by Bob

Arsene Wenger has spoken again about Arsenal still being in with a chance of pushing for the Premier league title. The Frenchman is not saying that we have a good chance, but if the next run of games goes in our favour then the Gunners could be in a position to have a real go of it in the second half of the season.

“First we have to get close, and for us to get closer, we have to win these kinds of games or we have no chance at all.

Are Man United about to sign Arsenal target Zaha? 32

Posted on January 09, 2013 by Bob

Arsenal may have missed out on another of their transfer targets. There are reports that Manchester United are about to agree terms with Crystal Palace over the transfer of their winger Wilfried Zaha. Tottenham seem to have accepted defeat in their challenge for the England international, and the silence from Arsenal has been deafening, leaving the way clear for Alex Ferguson to complete the signing.
