Frimpong and Fabianski survive the Arsenal clear out

Arsenal are having a clear out! by AH

The full list of players leaving Arsenal Football Club through expiring contracts has been released and none of the names are really surprising, as it’s been known for quite a while, but what’s certain is that Arsenal are seriously having a clear out this summer, leaving room to improve the squad rather than use up important squad places on players you will never see play for Arsenal again.

The full list is; Arshavin, Bihmoutine, Charles-Cook, Denilson, Eastmond, Hajrovic, Henderson, Meade, Oldfield Spence-Neita, Rees, Roberts, Shea, Squillaci, Watt.

Is this proof that Arsenal are changing their Youth Policy?

You may or not have noticed that a lot of Arsenal reserve and Academy players have been released by the club or have left to join other clubs this year rather than stick around at Arsenal.

Now worryingly this could mean that even the young talents don’t want to progress at this club anymore, because probably in the 8 years they have been here, they’ve witnessed our club go from a European dominator, to fourth place in England. If this is the case, then I’m afraid it really is worrying because although in some aspect of saying this, it was always quite a good moment to see the latest star rising through the ranks at Arsenal before progressing into a wonderkid in the first team. Of course I’d much rather have the good feeling moment of winning a trophy but never the less this was always good to see on the pitch.

Arsenal will give due respect to Bradford tonight

Arsene Wenger will not put his strongest possible Arsenal side out tonight against Bradford in the Capital One cup, but there will be a good few first teamers involved, and the players will know that they cannot afford to take the League two side lightly if we are to progress to the semi-final stage.

Not only are Bradford on a good run of form in the league, they knocked out Premier league side Wigan in the last round at the DW stadium in Wigan. This time they have home advantage and will undoubtedly see this as the biggest game the club has had in years.

Eisfeld and Meade plead for Arsenal start tonight

Arsene Wenger has vowed to play a strong Arsenal team in tonight’s COC quarter-final against Bradford, but that doesn’t mean that won’t be playing a certain amount of second string prospects. The little left-back Jernade Meade looked very competent against Olympiakos a couple of weeks ago and is hoping that Wenger will show his appreciation by playing him again tonight.

Meade said: “I grew in confidence as the match wore on and I can do better but hopefully I will get more chances.

“Hopefully the boss will have me in his thoughts for Bradford. I would love to do that, but it is all down to him.

Bradford vs. Arsenal Preview, Prediction, Team and Live Stream

Bradford vs Arsenal preview line up and score prediction. by KJ

The first team seem to be finally clicking together as they finally managed to get a win against West Brom on the weekend. Now we have the Capital One Cup fixture against Bradford that definitely has a less tense atmosphere to it. We probably aren’t under as much pressure because – firstly, it isn’t a league game and secondly, it’s a game that we expect to win every day of the week.

Team news for Bradford vs. Arsenal – no Walcott, Giroud or Sagna!

Arsene Wenger has vowed to take an experienced squad up north to face Bradford at Valley Parade tomorrow, but due to injury, his Arsenal squad will have some notable absences. The most worrying situation for us is up front, as Olivier Giroud has joined Theo Walcott on the sidelines.

The French striker will not be out for long but will miss the cup quarter final due to an injury to his back sustained during the Premier league victory against West Brom on Saturday. His size and strength would have been very useful dealing with the rugged Bradford defence, and Chamakh might get to play in his fourth game of the season. The Moroccan was useful against Reading and already has two goals in the competition.

It’s Huntelaar plus others for Arsenal in January transfers!

Arsene Wenger is constantly asked about who, if anyone, Arsenal will be signing to strengthen the team when the January transfer window opens on January 1st. For the last two games he has given pretty much the same answer, that he does not want to react after a defeat, it is better to think carefully. He was nearly laughing at the reporter who quizzed him last night. Did they really expect him to tell them all his plans?
