Arsenal overcome “offside goal” to beat Everton 2

Arsenal overcame a controversial Everton goal last night thanks to Koscielny and Arshavin to secure 3 points and keep up the pace with Manchester United at the top of the table.
In the 22nd minute Louis Saha was played a pass while in an off-side position from which he scored to put Everton ahead. However referee Lee Mason decided that the goal should stand, wrongly thinking that Koscielny’s touch played the Everton striker onside. Both Arsène Wenger and David Moyes later agreed that the goal should not have stood.
