Arsenal Debate: Will Wenger really change his philosophy this summer?

History is the best predictor of the future… by Redneck

So then, what will be in store for the Gunner faithful this summer? Arsene has this massive 70 million warchest. There is absolutely no way that with that much money to spend, the pressure that has been building on the club, the high ticket prices, etc., we aren’t going to make a dramatic shift in philosophy and bring in some “top, top, top” players over the long break, right? I am inclined to say “no.”

Arteta reveals reason behind Arsenal’s improvement!

Suddenly Arsenal have gone on a winning streak to make their usual last-minute gasp into the Champions League places (Oh if they had only played like this in the beginning of the season!) and it all began with that sensational 2-0 away win over Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena.

Mikel Arteta thinks that the reason is simply that the Gunners have started talking to each other on the pitch! “We have improved since the Bayern game, but there is still further room to improve too,” Arteta said on Arsenal.com.

Vermaelen – Arsenal can beat anybody (but obviously not the Top Four!)

Club Captain Thomas Vermaelen comments by AH

Thomas Vermaelen has today told Arsenal.com that he has never doubted what this Gunners team are capable of.
Vermaelen told Arsenal player; “You could see it from the start of the season; this team has a lot of potential. It’s a case of everybody staying fit. We didn’t get the results but I think in some parts of the games we played well.”

Gervinho can be a key player for Arsenal this season

Did you guys see that goal against Mali? Class it was. Gervinho had very good technique to place it with such a tight angle in place. However the most important thing about the goal was that it fell to Gervinho to score.

He could have messed that up with so much time on the ball, luckily the Arsenal striker kept his calm and put it away.

Will Keiran Gibbs ever fulfill his potential for Arsenal and England?

The 22 year old defender Kieran Gibbs has been at Arsenal since 2004. Trained under the youth coach of Arsenal, Gibbs has been trained well and polished into one of the future talents in the footballing world. Furthermore, the left footed full back is English, which makes things even more exciting and he was hotly tipped to go to the World Cup last year until he gor injured (again!). Looking to be the natural successor of Ashley Cole and Gael Clichy, Gibbs has now established himself to be the future left back of Arsenal.

Vela moves to WBA – will we see him again?

Arsenal confirmed the news that Carlos Vela will join West Brom on loan for the rest of the season.

It has been a strange few months for the Mexican. He had a bright start to the season but quickly found himself frozen out with Chamakh bang in form, Bendtner returning from injury and Samir Nasri being in glittering form on the left. Our entire attacking team is fit and there is simply no place for him.

So, will we actually see this guy again?
