Just Arsenal secures Arsenal PL Highlights as Youtube clamps down on copyright pirates 15

Posted on August 13, 2010 by admin

The days of watching pirated Premier League highlights on YouTube are about to be ended as the Premier League, Viacom and the French Football League have brought multi-million lawsuits against any websites that happily allows pirated material to be shown on their site.

Siliconrepublic.com reported: Google, who own YouTube, in collaboration with media companies including Disney and Time Warner, said anti-piracy software is being tested that effectively fingerprints user-uploaded videos for copyright violation, testing against a database of genuine video supplied by the copyright owners.

Hleb and Flamini to return to Premier League? 22

Posted on August 04, 2010 by admin

Just two years after both Aleksandr Hleb and Mathieu Flamini left Arsenal, it looks like both of them will be returning to England with their tails between their legs.

Hleb especially should be embarassed as he forced Wenger to let him leave, whilst complaining about “chaotic English life (and the weather!), while Flamini refused to sign a new contract and took his “dream” move to AC MIlan.

Hleb only made eight appearances at the Camp Nou and even flopped when on loan at Stuttgart last season, but now it seems Fulham are expected to land him for a measly £3m. Oh how the mighty have fallen….

Arsenal fan stabs Man Utd fan over after football argument! 7

Posted on March 30, 2010 by admin

I have just found this article from Kenya, which just shows how football-mad the fans are over there.

The report in The Nation said: After claiming the life of a die-hard Kenyan fan a year ago, the curse of the English Premier League, the world’s richest football league, has struck again.

It has left in its wake a teenager – a Manchester United fan – nursing a serious stomach injury after a supporter of the rival Arsenal soccer club stabbed him repeatedly following a fight over their favourite teams’ standings in the league following last Sunday’s games.

Wenger - Kick betting out!

Wenger - Kick betting out!

The Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger says that he supports the Premier League and Professional Footballers’ Association in their quest to get betting on Youth games, involving players as young as 14, banned completely.

Two top bookies, that also sponsor Premier League clubs, have been offering in-play betting on academy games.

Wenger wants it stopped. He said: “I don’t agree with this because the corruption potential in youth football is even higher. I think it is better if betting is focused on professional games.
