There have been many rumours this morning saying that Lukas Podolski may be leaving Arsenal in the summer as he seems to be frozen out of the first team, despite scoring in his last appearance against Bayern Munich, but the German international has now spoken out to say he is happy to wait for Wenger to choose when to play him.

Arsene Wenger only used Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain sparingly last season as he was obviously worried about causing the same burn-out that affected Jack Wilshere the year before, and it looks like Arsenal are still being cautious with The Ox this season as well and he has only started 15 games so far.

The young Mexican striker Carlos Vela has spent the second half of the season out on loan at West Brom, and despite a few successes as an impact sub, he has only made three starts for the Baggies.
The West Brom first-team coach Michael Appleton said yesterday: “We don’t know what kind of transfer fee Arsenal may or may not put on Carlos’ head or whether the boy wants to come back to the football club,” .
