Arsenal Linked With Kenyan Defensive Midfielder
Victor Wanyama, a 21 year old defensive midfielder who currently plays for Celtic in Scotland has been rumoured to be looking for a move to the EPL because he is unhappy with Celtics use of his abilities. The teams that are rumoured to be in contact with him are Arsenal and Man Utd.
Since Wanyama signed for Celtic, he has been a revelation. He is a tank, of massive proportions, but is very skilled on the ball, and can score goals. Out of 29 scottish league apperances he has scored 4 goals. Don’t be quick to assume that just because he scores goals he “likes to go on the attack too much”, because that just would not be true, he is very defensive minded. .......Read the full article here

Olivier Giroud: A man Arsenal should not miss out on by Richard Hall
Montpellier hit man Oliver Giroud has been is superb form so far this term. After making no secret of his admiration for Arsenal it seems that all the pieces are in place for a summer move. He is a man whose signature Arsene Wenger should secure.
Giroud, 25 years of age, is just under 6ft 4inches tall and is the personification of power and grace. More than just a typical center forward Giroud is deadly in or outside the box, he has a cannon of a shot but at the same time the ability to score with the most deft of touches. He is a good set piece taker, his control is superb, he is strong, agile and merciless when it comes to using his head, in short he is everything that Arsenal need at this moment in time. .......Read the full article here

A great result for Arsenal yesterday was soured by the news about Jack Wilshere being out for longer than originally thought, which makes a new midfielder in the January transfer window a must for Arsene Wenger, and according to reports today the latest target is the Brazilian Raffael.
Raffael Caetano de Araujo, 26, to give him his full name, is currently playing for Hertha Berlin in the German Bundesliga and scored 10 times last season to help his side win promotion back to the top flight, and has already scored twice this season. .......Read the full article here

There have been some really strange Arsenal transfer rumours this week, but this must surely stand out as the most unlikely. The Star reckons that Arsene Wenger is targeting Tottenham’s Jermain Defoe to replace Nicklas Bendtner.
Defoe has had anawful season at Spurs. He’s either been injured, out-of-form or just plain whinging all year at White Hart Lane, and when given a chance to prove himself again he has gone missing completely.
Harry Redknapp would love to get £10m from anyone for the 29 year-old prima donna so he can buy a proper striker, so why on earth would Arsenal even consider him, even if he didn’t play for the Spuds! .......Read the full article here

In one of the weirdest Arsenal transfer rumours I’ve heard for years, the Daily Mirror is suggesting that Harry Redknapp is planning to take the Arsenal reserve Emmanuel Eboue to White Hart Lane.
Despite Arsene Wenger saying that Eboue is an integral part of the team, he has only made six starts for the Gunners in the Premiership this season, and there are rumours that he is refusing to renew his contract at the Emirates.
Harry Redknapp has already brought in the ex-Arsenal captain William Gallas last summer on a free transfer, and if Eboue moved and played as well as Gallas it would certainly be a kick in the teeth for Arsenal fans. They have had a tempestuous relationship with Eboue over the years, but after his improved performances in the last 12 months he has become a fans favourite. .......Read the full article here

There has been increased speculation over the last few days that the Italian goalkeeping legend Gigi Buffon was negotiating a move to Arsenal behind the scenes, with one paper even suggesting that there was a pre-contract already drawn up.
But Buffon’s agent, Silvano Martina, said: “There is no news. It’s just whispers, things that the press are writing. Every time I find myself commenting on these rumours, but there is absolutely nothing in it.”
It is no great surprise, considering that Arsenal have been linked with just about every available goalkeeper in Europe in the last few weeks, with more and more “whispers” saying that Arsene Wenger is guaranteed to buy a top-class keeper this summer. .......Read the full article here
