Sagna’s replacement dreams of playing for Arsenal

I hope that the Arsenal manager has been made aware of what the talented 21-year old right back Serge Aurier has said about his dream of playing for Arsenal Football Club, because if we move fast on this transfer once the window opens in the summer, not only will the Gunners be getting one of the most promising young defenders around, we will also be denying Chelsea one of their transfer targets.

According to HereIsTheCity.com, Jose Mourinho has been sending scouts from Chelsea to watch Aurier in action for his his French Ligue 1 club Toulouse and they have been impressed by what they have seen from the Ivorian international.

Sagna will join BPL rivals if Arsenal don’t cough up

Arsenal have been told, in no uncertain terms, that they will have to face yet another of their former players next season, unless they open the wallet, release the moths, and give Bacary Sagna the contract he is after.

Any hope that Arsene Wenger and the fans might have had that our French international defender would go abroad and play for a team like Paris Saint-Germain have been squashed flat by the president of Inter Milan, one of the many clubs interested in signing Sagna. Sky Sports report that Erick Thohir has all but given up signing the Arsenal right back, despite having held talks over his transfer, because Sagna will be staying in England and playing for a Premier League club next season.

Why Arsenal and Jenkinson should say yes to Newcastle

Why Jenkinson could use a loan at Newcastle by KJ

A different piece of Arsenal transfer news today as the Evening Standard are reporting that Newcastle United are interested in loaning Carl Jenkinson for the entirety of next season. This is great news for Jenkinson in my opinion as his development has definitely stalled with Sagna having a strong season and at his age, game time is vital for his development.

If Sagna must go, Arsenal have Dortmund star lined up

Is Lukasz Piszczek the man to replace Sagna? by Ash

While there is a lot of concern surrounding the future of current Arsenal star Bacary Sagna, it seems as if a few people have already gone through the trouble of looking for possible replacements for the Frenchman. But the talented, versatile and concistent Frenchman is not going to be an easy player to replace.

Arsenal’s £100m transfer rumours! Who should Wenger buy?

So it looks like it is time for the Arsenal fans to start guessing as to who Wenger is going to buy in the summer (if he is still the manager of course!)

According to the Telegraph, Wenger will have £100 million pounds to play with as the Gunners make more and more money from their off-pitch activities, like sponsorship and property deals, and not to mention the £140m surplus carried over from last year….

Why Arsenal fans must NOT blame Sagna for contract issues

In defence of our stellar dcefender Bacary Sagna by Uche

Hello folks. While still enjoying Arsenal’s weekend win over the spuds – even though we did not play very well – I came across an article on this site on Bacary Sagna’s wage demands and I could not help but join the debate. There are things that need to be said about how Arsenal football club is run and this should not be misinterpreted as not supporting the club.

Are Sagna contract demands just too rich for Arsenal?

Sagna’s lack of movement suggests he will almost certainly be off! by Ash

Arsenal have so far convinced Per Mertesacker, Tomas Rosicky to extend their contracts, and seemingly verbally agreed with the likes of Ramsey, Cazorla and Arsene Wenger himself; however one name that continues to elude the Gunners is French international right back, Bacary Sagna. In today’s Daily Mail, it is reported that more talks are planned but the £20 million package may be just too much and other clubs like Inter Milan are circling the Emirates like vultures.

Super Ramsey set for MEGA new 5 year Arsenal deal

Ramsey set to double his deal with a five year extension! by Ash

On a day that has been full of contract news for Arsenal Football Club, with Per Mertesacker and Tomas Rosicky both agreeing 3 year and 1 year extensions respectively, the tables now turn to Aaron Ramsey who is being mooted as the next Arsenal player to sign on the dotted line.

Arsenal contract news – 3 from 4 is good but Sagna set to leave

It seems that the Gunners have been working hard behind the scenes to sort out the future of some of the Arsenal squad who are coming to the end of their current contracts. And it appears that the club has been fairly successful as well. However, it is not all good news.

According to the Daily Mail, our long serving French international Bacary Sagna has not been given the deal that he wanted and is set to move on when his contract expires this summer. I am gutted about this, to be honest and think that Arsenal are making a big mistake.

Arsenal v Stoke Player ratings – Sagna MOM?

Stoke 1 – 0 Arsenal Player Ratings by KJ

Szczesny – 7
Made a couple of decent saves but couldn’t do much for the penalty.

Sagna – 7.5
He was decent today defensively but struggled offensively as he was often left on his own whilst Cazorla was all over the place.

Mertesacker – 6.5
Crouch won the aerial battle with him and bullied him throughout the game. Not the best game from Mertesacker.

Koscielny – 6.5
Wasn’t great today and gave away the penalty. It was definitely harsh but he shouldn’t have given the ref an opportunity to penalise us.

Bacary Sagna cheers up Arsenal fans!

Arsenal’s current longest-serving player Bacary Sagna has looked to be set to leave the Emirates this summer as he has not yet agreed to sign a new contract extension. Talks seem to have been going on for the last 18 months and there have been rumours abounding that PSG and (God Forbid!) Man City have been preparing to offer the versatile Frenchman a big-money contract to end his career with them.

But now perhaps the talks are nearing a conclusion, as the right-back’s latest comments would seem to indicate he has no desire to leave Arsenal at all! Sagna said in The Mirror: “I love Arsenal, I love playing for Arsenal, I love my team,”
