Arsenal Transfer Rumours- Navas, Dragovic and Son 193

Posted on May 08, 2013 by Bob

Navas, Dragovic and Son is not a removal company by the way, it is three different football players who have been linked with a possible summer transfer switch to Arsenal. Arsene Wenger and the club will have a good idea of the players they want to sign this summer, but a lot could still depend on where we finish in the table.

Jesus Navas, the Spanish international winger, has been linked with the Gunners before. He is fast, tricky and provides great service to the attack, which is something we really need. The standard of crossing at the Emirates this season has been appalling and is one of the main reasons, I think, that Olivier Giroud has not scored a lot more goals.

Can Arsenal win battle to sign `new Vieira`? 58

Posted on April 29, 2013 by Bob

The last time that Arsenal won a major trophy was the 2005 FA cup final. Patrick Vieira scored the winning penalty against Manchester United in the shoot out, but that was his last of nearly 400 competitive matches for the club. Some might say that Arsenal have never adequately replaced the dynamic Frenchman, but that may be about to change this summer.

According to the Sun, Arsenal face strong competition from Chelsea, Man City and Real Madrid for the player seen as the next Patrick Vieira. Geoffrey Kondogbia, who plays for Sevilla in the Spanish Primera Liga, has a very similar game to the former Gunner. He is the same age as Vieira was when he signed from Juventus, and is also an under-21 French international player.

Negredo alerts Arsenal to summer transfer!! 24

Posted on March 21, 2013 by Bob

Arsene Wenger’s list of potential transfer targets for Arsenal may just have got longer, because the Spanish international striker Alvaro Negredo has opened the door to a possible move to the Premier League this summer. The 27-year old has been the undisputed star of the Sevilla side since he joined in 2009, but the club have struggled both financially and on the pitch this season and Negredo seems ready to move on.

“I’ve always said it and I’ve never tried to keep it hidden,” Negredo told Cadena COPE radio station. “The Premier League is a league that I like. I don’t know if it’s now, maybe a bit later, or tomorrow but I will play there.

Arsenal transfer news on Negredo and Szalai 54

It seems that Negredo is being offered as a transfer by the main man from Sevilla. Jose María del Nido is in London since yesterday, and he is in contact with Arsenal, but the cost of his transfer plus a four and a half year contract request seems to suit Spurs more than us. A well built central striker at just under six feet in old money, and he certainly knows where the goal is, being top scorer for Sevilla.

Is It Arsenal or Spurs for Spanish striker? 79

Alvaro Negredo opened the way for his transfer to the Premier league, and it is believed that Arsenal and their North London rivals Tottenham are the two teams most likely to take advantage. The president of his Primera Liga club, Sevilla, has been in London since yesterday, apparently speaking with officials of the clubs about the terms of the striker’s transfer.

Despite stating that they were not looking to sign a striker in the January transfer window, Tottenham have spoken to Jose Maria Del Nido, according to the Daily Mail. The opportunity to sign Negredo, who helped Spain to win Euro 2012 and has been in fantastic form this season, is seriously tempting, especially if his reported price tag of around £15 million is correct.

Sevilla striker would love to join Arsenal 83

Arsene Wenger has been hugely impressed with the way his two Spanish players have settled in at Arsenal. Both Mikel Arteta and Santi Cazorla have done very well since coming to the Emirates, and Wenger has spoken about the fantastic technical ability that Spanish players have drilled into them from a young age. Wenger also spoke recently about what a bargain Swansea found in Michu, and he knows that many Spanish clubs are struggling financially so may be open to selling some of their stars.

Arsenal could sign two more Spaniards on the cheap as Sevilla struggle financially 55

Posted on October 18, 2012 by Bob

Arsenal are stepping up their interest in two of the Spanish international side, Jesus Navas and Alvaro Negredo, who play in the capital of Andalusia with Sevilla FC. It is a fiercely proud club and has enjoyed success in the past, winning the Spanish Copa Del Rey two years ago and winning two UEFA cups in a row in 2006 and 2007.

At the minute, however, Sevilla are struggling financially and are faced with the necessity of selling some of their best players to balance the books. Arsene Wenger did a similar thing in the summer with Santi Cazorla and Malaga, and that has been a fantastic move for the Gunners.

Have Arsenal lost Sahin through stinginess? 96

Why Arsenal are losing out on players by TS

So this morning it would seem that the Sahin saga has taken yet another turn in what seems to be the player opting for Liverpool. I find this shocking as he so desired to want to come to Arsenal and play for us a day ago, apparently. Liverpool are paying him more but can’t offer Champions league football. It’s surprising how many players we lose out on because of money. Let’s face it, this isn’t the boy scouts here. Players have a limited window in which to shine and most, if not all, want top dollar for their skills.

Jesus Navas unlikely to be coming to Arsenal 52

Navas unaware of Arsenal Interest by AM

Arsenal have been linked with a move for the Spanish winger Jesus Navas this season. In this is not the first time he has been linked with the Gunners, back in 2009, he was also rumoured to be on his way to the Emirates, but it didn’t materialize. Chelsea have also been a long admirer of Navas and they even managed to reach a deal for the Spanish international, but the deal was called off due to Navas’ homesickness. Navas can’t stay away from home for long and this has even prevented him from travelling with the Spanish national team in the past. It is said that Navas is undergoing treatment for this and things have improved significantly.

Arsenal’s prayers could be answered 65

Arsenal are after Jesus!  By KJ

AS (Spanish news outlet) are reporting that Arsenal are interested in signing Sevilla winger, Jesus Navas. It is a bit of a surprising link considering that we’re quite heavily stoked out wide and it looks likely that Walcott will sign a new contract. However, I’ll give this rumour a fair shake.

Navas was raised in the Sevilla youth system and has stuck with the team ever since. That seems extraordinary considering his talents and the clubs that he could go to (I’m talking Barcelona and Madrid). The reason why he’s still at Sevilla was because of his severe homesickness. This has spanned for many years now and has stopped him from really excelling in his career both at club level and internationally.

Arsenal to be saved by Jesus? 64

Posted on August 22, 2012 by Bob

Arsene Wenger is praying that Theo Walcott agrees to sign a new deal that keeps him at the Emirates, but if he doesn’t then Arsenal may have to sell him before he walks away next summer on a free transfer. Salvation may be just around the corner for the Gunners, as Arsenal are preparing a bid for the Sevilla and Spain winger Jesus Navas.

Navas has been one of the best players in the history of the Spanish club, and has got a release clause of  £35 million, according to the Daily Star. There is no way that Wenger will pay this amount but the value of release clauses does not seem to mean much these days. Spanish newspaper AS seem to think that a bid of around £15 million should be enough to convince Sevilla to cash in.

Denilson being chased by Sevilla and Wolfsburg 21

Posted on May 13, 2011 by admin

There is a report this evening that says that the Arsenal midfielder Denilson is being chased by both Sevilla and Wolfsburg. The Brazilian has only been a peripheral figure at the Emirates this season and hasn’t performed brilliantly (to be polite) when he has been given a chance.

The Mirror reports that the Brazilian has become disillusioned with life in the Arsenal reserves, and Arsene Wenger has finally realised that he has not lived up to his early promise and he will be one of a few Arsenal players shown the door this summer.
