Wenger – Third place is not a disaster! 14

After yesterday’s comments from Andrei Arshavin saying that third place in the Premiership should be considered a success for this Arsenal team, it seems that Arsene Wenger agrees with the out-spoken little Russan!
Wenger said: “When you are fighting with Manchester City, Tottenham, Liverpool and Aston Villa you cannot say that because you finished third it is a disaster. It is very important to win trophies but if you do not, you do not go from being fantastic to zero.”
He also defended his policy of playing youth players and reserves in the League Cup and the FA Cup, and again said that winning the League Cup could hardly be considered a success.
