Today, Talksport reports that the reported Arsenal target Mathieu Valbuena has abandoned any plans he had to join Arsene Wenger in the Premier league.
The 27-year old French international midfielder has been at Marseille since 2006. Arsene Wenger (and the Arsenal fans!) will be hoping that the contract situation with Samir Nasri is sorted out this week to everyone’s satisfaction, but it seems that Wenger is looking at possible alternatives if the 24 year-old refuses to put pen to paper.
