Arsenal missed the chance to reclaim top spot last night after a draw at home to Manchester United. Both teams seeming a little hesitant at times, their fear of losing overpowering their desire to win.
The Gunners can be thankful that Van Persie didn’t have his clinical boots on, however Wojciech Szczesny rightfully earned the plaudits for some superb saves to deny the Dutchman.
Giroud was wasteful, while Cazorla attempted to get things going for the Gunners. Koscielny too also came close for the Gunners, but in the end they failed to find the cutting edge to finish off Moyes’ men. .......Read the full article here
Arsenal vs Manchester United Preview, Line up and predicted score by KJ
This is easily the biggest test of the season so far for Arsenal. We have been knocked off the top of the league aafter that terribly disappointing thrashing by Liverpool. Our players will be low on morale and now have to face a Man Utd team who have just as many brilliant attacking players as Liverpool. A loss against United and we could be 4 points off the top as well as looking over our shoulders at Liverpool who could easily nick the 3rd spot off us and Tottenham aren’t far behind. .......Read the full article here
Although the transfer window has shut down permanently for this season and will not re-open again until a few weeks after Arsenal have potentially had their celebratory Premier League winners’ open bus parade, but the transfer speculation is already in full swing. The news is so surprising that it has to be shared with Arsenal fans because this really would be one massive shock if it happened. .......Read the full article here
It is a good time for Arsenal to play Man Utd by Rabiul
It is nice to see Arsenal back on Top of the League where we belong. But make no mistake, there is still a long way to go and the fixture list is very tough for rest of February and March. So Arsenal needs to be on top of their game to continue to stay on top. However, one of the upcoming tough matches is against Man Utd and I seriously believe that this will be a good time for Arsenal to play against them. .......Read the full article here
There is a rumour going around, and it is just a rumour for now, that the former Arsenal striker Robin van Persie is seriously cheesed off with his new team Manchester United and could be set for a shock return to the Gunners. I am not going to go into the whys, wherefores and whether the rumour could be true, I am just interested to know what the Arsenal fans think about it. .......Read the full article here
If Arsenal mess this up, someone needs to be sacked. It seems as though the Gunners are on the verge of losing Bacary Sagna at the end of the season after all. The news last week was good, and it seemed to be just a matter of time before the France international was signed up with a new contract, along with Per Mertesacker and Arsene Wenger. .......Read the full article here
Arsenal fans now have more than one reason to be happy. Our boys are producing exquisite football on the pitch. We go into tough matches wanting very much to win but also knowing that even a loss will still keep us at the top. But the fact that our former captain Robin Van Persie is unhappy at Manchester United is another reason to be happy.
No one wants to remember those nervous days when his future at the Emirates was so uncertain. Will he go…… will he stay…… Finally he left but it was pretty clear to many that he had made up his mind long before. .......Read the full article here
There is a new transfer rumour concerning Arsenal, but I would be very surprised if anything came of it. Apparently the former Gunner and Cameroon international midfielder Alex Song could be available in January, after failing to establish himself in the Barcelona team.
Song may have hoped that things would get better this season under the new manager of the Spanish champions, but the 26-year old still spends most of his time on the bench under Tata Martino so, according to a report in the Mirror, he could be on his way back to the Premier League. The report claims that Arsenal and Manchester United are keeping tabs on the situation. .......Read the full article here
When Arsenal smashed the club transfer record t sign Mesut Ozil from Real Madrid on the last dqay of the windpw this summer, there was no doubt that it was the big story of the day, if not the summer. The German international is widely recognised as being one of the best players in the world for his technical ability and vision. He was even rated as the best playmaker in the world by his former manager and boss of Arsenal’s Premier league rivals, Chelsea’s Jose Mourinho. .......Read the full article here
Dear Gooners, This article was meant to be published right after Arsenal’s ‘win’ against Man United, but alas we were very unlucky so I decided to wait a while before doing so. It wouldn’t have made sense at the time anyway.
The Gunners have had an excellent season so far. In fact, since the middle end of last season, Arsenal have only lost 2 out of 20 league games (I might stand to be corrected on the amount of games played since our fine run began) but generally we have been so consistent it is unlike the Arsenal we knew 2 or 3 years ago. What has changed so much since last season, besides the addition of three players? .......Read the full article here
As Arsenal got straight back into the groove with a win against Southampton at the weekend, the Premier League title race is really starting to take shape. And it is looking good for the Gunners, not just because of our own form, but because of the poor performances of two of our biggest rivals, Manchester United and Tottenham.
Tottenham were not just beaten by Manchester City, they were subjected to the kind of beating that could well damage their team morale and and put a giant spanner in the works of their season. It is extra special for Arsenal fans of course, because of the local rivalry, but in practical terms it should mean that we have one less team to worry about. .......Read the full article here
Arsenal have always been given stick over the way we defend and a lot of the time it’s been in regards to our tactics when it comes to set pieces. For the strangest reason, Arsene Wenger, despite 17 years in the Arsenal job, continues to believe that zonal marking on set pieces is the way forward. Wenger just cannot wrap his head around the idea that perhaps we would be much better and perhaps much less fearful when it comes to set pieces if we actually picked up man for man rather than hit and hope for the best. .......Read the full article here
