From time to time we have all seen us demanding various Arsenal players to be sacked our our great manager to be sacked. We say “This player is not good, That player is not good” and to a certain extent our demands are not without justification. But my friends the time has come that we should stop moaning – at least till the end of the season – and support team till the end. Even by any chance if any of the Arsenal player or manager read this blog (Which i am sure they do! ) .......Read the full article here
The Irish U21 team may not have qualified for next summers European Championships but they certainly gave themselves hope for the future with a brilliant win over the Group Winners Italy in Casarano last night.
Ireland even had Derrick Williams and Anthony Forde sent off during the game, but still managed to beat Italy 4-2 and it was the Arsenal youngster Conor Henderson that scored the best goal of the match in the 58th minute. The others were scored by Aaron Doran (2) and Sean Murray, and the manager Noel King was extremely excited by the result. .......Read the full article here
Summer signing Oliver Giroud has had a bit of a rough time in the English Premier League so far, by both the fans and the pundits. His performances have deserved some criticism as he hasn’t performed to his maximum, but every player takes time to adapt, its different for individual players. There’s no doubt that the Frenchman has quality as he finished as Ligue 1 top scorer last season as he helped Champions League opponents Montpellier drive onto the French first division title. But now he is in England and must take his opportunity when it comes before the pressure builds too high for him. .......Read the full article here
Today’s article will be giving my opinion on the French hit man. Specifically, I’ll be looking at his strengths and weaknesses as well as how I think he will fit into our set-up. Now, I must stress that all of this is only my opinion; because while I do watch an unnatural amount of football, I am by no means a football expert so, obviously, your opinions are just as good (and in some cases better) than mine. .......Read the full article here
The new video on Arsenal.com unveiling the kit for the 2012-2013 season seems to show a lot more than just what the kit looks like. The video (and all of the photos of players flaunting the new kit) specifically display Robin Van Persie wearing the new kit, and looking quite happy I might add.
This could well be evidence that Van Persie will be staying…even before the final game of the season. I’m pretty sure the club would not make the shirts available with RVP’s name printed on the back of them, if he was not going to be playing in an Arsenal shirt next season. In fact, that would be completely ridiculous. .......Read the full article here
Progressing very well in the England youth squads (even captaining a few), Henri Lansbury grows in popularity. His recent performances for the U-21 national team have been tremendous, and he has always been touted as a very talented individual. Even former Arsenal striker Alan Smith acclaimed that Lansbury has “huge potential”. Arsene Wenger has said of Lansbury: “Henri Lansbury is a type of player who I rate because of his qualities, but as well his mental strength, the timing of his runs. He gives you qualities that are very difficult to find in the modern game. He goes always behind [the defence] and he has the timing to get in the box and scores goals from midfield. He is showing that again the other night when you see the cross coming in, who is on the move? It’s Henri. I like his attitude, his spirit, his mental strength and of course his qualities. He has not played for a while; he played with cramps until the last minute [against Spurs] and has a fantastic team attitude. I rate him and I like him.” .......Read the full article here
What a result for Arsenal. This game was a must win for Manchester City and they truly cocked it up. It was clear they had given up on the league before the game even started. However, let’s not take anything away from the boys, they were amazing. Arsenal were unrelenting for the entire 90 minutes and it took one magical shot from our Spaniard to decide the title as well as giving us a huge boost in our search for automatic Champions league qualification. .......Read the full article here
Tonight Arsenal travel to Elland Road for the FA Cup replay against Leeds, and it is a reminder that the Gunners didn’t dispose of the Championship team in the first leg because Denilson gave away a sloppy penalty and allowed the Yorkshire team to take the lead.
Arsenal’s captain Cesc Fabregas appeared to be very angry with Denilson and it the after-match interview said: “At this stage if you are a professional footballer you cannot risk these types of penalties. It’s so easy for them.” You can watch the interview here.
But today Denilson has hit back at Fabregas, and claims that he just isn’t good enough to call himself a leader at Arsenal. He said: “Fabregas is the captain but he is not a leader. .......Read the full article here
Arsenal’s goalkeeping problems have been highlighted on Just Arsenal News all summer, and they were even more emphasised by the team conceding FIVE goals in yesterdays match against Legia Warsaw.
Before the game, Wenger said that this was another chance for Fabianski to show if he was capable of being first-choice keeper this season. Wenger said: “Tomorrow Fabianski has another opportunity to show that he can play No 1.
“Wojciech is a goalkeeper of huge quality. At the moment we want to play for the title so I believe he needs some more experience to compete directly for the first goalkeeper position. .......Read the full article here
