Bob Wilson has fond memories of Arsene Wenger, not just as a manager, but as a true gentleman who has helped him through some tough times in recent years. He thought he had seen it all at Arsenal when he won the double back in 1971 as a player, but his mind soon changed when Arsene took over in 1996.
Wilson said, “If you’d said when he arrived that I would see the best football Arsenal has ever played and some of the greatest players the world has ever seen, I wouldn’t have believed you. If you had said I would go on to watch us play in the Champions League for the next 15 years, win three titles, five FA Cups, get to three Carling Cup finals and the final of the Champions League, my reply would have ended in ‘off’.” .......Read the full article here

The young Pole Wojciech Szczesny has been given his chance at Arsenal and had already proved his worth before injuring his finger. The Gunners’ legend Bob Wilson is sure that he has the quality to be one of the all-time greats at the Emirates.
Wilson said: “I love his brashness and personality, just like I love Joe Hart’s.
“Wojciech has huge ability and what you need at the top level. He has height – he’s 6ft 5in tall – and a dad guiding him.
