Okay we have now had more than enough time to know that Stan Kroenke has no intention at all of changing Arsene Wenger’s management style, and in fact has had no obvious input into the running of Arsenal.
When ever Kroenke or Gazidis speaks about the club they make it clear that they support the “self-sustaining model” which only sees cash flowing INTO the Arsenal coffers rather than outgoing investment. In fact Kroenke’s first season in charge could see Arsenal failing to make the Top Four for the first time in sixteen years.
If that happens then the Gunners will not just lose the obvious TV and prize money from being in Europe’s Premier Competition, but they will also command less in the sponsorship market. This state of affairs was predicted by Usmanov in the summer when he was asked if he was keen on taking a place on Stan Kroenke’s Arsenal board. He replied: “If the role of a board member is to oversee a trophyless period, while making significant personal profits and asking fans to pay inflation-busting ticket price increases then, no, I would not want to be on the board.
“If instead it is to try to deliver sustained success, to increase your personal investment in the club, to help develop the commercial position and to ensure the fans have a say in the running of the club then, yes, I think I certainly have something to contribute.
“In terms of doing things differently, let me give you a very clear example. Arsenal has all of its major commercial contracts coming up for renewal in the next couple of years.
“It’s no secret that to maximise the value of those you want to have success on the field and be winning trophies. To do that you need to invest now in building a winning team. This is simple commercial logic. Whether it comes to pass, we shall see.”
Usmanov has made it clear that he still wants to takeover the club at the expense of Kroenke, and you can be sure that if he did he would immediately sack Wenger and bring in a successful coach like Jose Mourinho, tasked with clearing out the deadwood and rebuilding a trophy-winning team. Simple commercial logic……
So where does your support lie? The self-sustaining mediocrity or the gung-ho investment to make Arsenal great again?

It is not Wengers fault, its just that most of our players are total shit and to get fourth is a miracle considering the shite standard of them. Wenger is a genius, he simply isn’t supplied the funds to get decent players! Usmanov in and Wenger must stay!

I honestly dont get this fan page. You back your team and every one dislikes your comments for having an opinion on how to improve your team, but if you slate the manager, the players or the board everybody loves it :S maybe you people complaining about the team should focus on backing it instead of adding to the problem.

There’s absolutely no excuses for today’s performance,Simply awful & these two recent matches have confirmed that we are now officially an average club with just an Elite Status.

All the players of arsenal is a joke. Seriously RVP should leave arsenal and find a club that wants to win Cups. Arsenal is a training ground for bunch of teenagers when they wanna develop the kids and sale for profit. If this trend goes we will soon see arsenal at the relegation bracket. if we beat spurs, then wtf is going on cos i dunno. Wenger isnt a mastermind!!!! I thought he was at one stage but no… Ramsey should be loaned to another english team for a year so he can become a decent player. Rosicky kept? only for small wages. Arshavin either should have been sold or you play him, why keep him if you dont play him(IN CAM!!!!!!!!!!!!) If arsenal are all about earing money then why have we got a bunch of idiots on our bench, im not gonna bother listing them because there is atleast 10 players that I would like gone.

There can be no doubt this is the worst arsenal team

The grass is always greener on the other side. The side is poor and confidence seems to come and go very quickly suggesting there is very little fundamental belief amongst the players they are doing the right thing. Its past highlighting the poor defensive regimes that have blighted Wengers teams for the last three or four years, the high level of injuries (i wonder how many jump ship when the results get bad) In Milan it was obvious some of our players froze in the atmosphere. Quality players have personal belief they are good and up to the mark. The quality has gradually eroded within the squad. Man U, Man City,Barcelona, Real Madrid, Chelsea (of old) have all invested heavily, gone into debt but won things. We were amongst them at one time thanks to Wenger, Fisman and Dein. If Usmanov buys in power and Kroenke agrees to sell there is no way Wenger will leave. He will stay in some capacity perhaps with Bergkamp as manager.

Usmanov and wenger definitely also bring back David dein that’s when things started to go wrong for us he had a great relationship with wenger n players . Wenger has done amazing things for arsenal but he is the public escape goat for a money grabbing unabitious board who clearly aren’t ment to be involved with such a amazing and historic club . So I say blame the board not the manager . Top gunner throu the Good n the BAD times it’s wat is being a loyal fan is about !
