Thierry Henry helping the transfer of Valdes to Arsenal
Arsenal are looking for a new keeper, as Szczesny is still prone to too many mistakes, hopefully one with lots of experience and talent. There have been quite a few players linked with a summer move to the Emirates, such as Begovic from Stoke and Mignolet from Sunderland, but the biggest name linked with the Gunners has been Victor Valdes of Barcelona.
The Catalan club are still trying to persuade the 31-year old Spaniard to change his mind and renew his contract at the Nou Camp, but he seems determined to seek his fortune elsewhere after 11 seasons and 500 games with Barcelona. According to the Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo, the Arsenal legend Thierry Henry has been helping to facilitate the deal by speaking to Arsene Wenger and Valdes about the mutual benefits of the deal.
Henry has convinced Valdes that he will love life in London and with Arsenal, while using his close contacts with Wenger to get the ball rolling. Apparently Barcelona will give Valdes until the end of the month to change his mind before they start looking in earnest for a new number one. It seems ever more likely that Valdes will be sold this summer rather than see out his current contract, and he could become a Gunner for as little as £8 million.
Valdes is prone to mistakes,Dont be distracted by the fact that he plays for barca. I would prefer a reliable keeper like Marchetti, Begovic, Mignolet or even diego lopez.

Valdes is only good wit his feet, just because he doesn’t let in alot of goals doesn’t mean he is any good. He play for barca remember…
We need to tighten the defence, add steel to the midfield, then learn how to press as a team FIRST. Then if Szczesny is still causing problems then will can get a new GK.

Besides what mistakes has Szczesny done?? Apart from the odd couple .vs Southampton, most of the goals are DEFENCE errors… if the defence and midfield let Michu go through on goal how is that Szczesny fault?? He is not a liability like Alumina, Fabiaski.
Support the team, stop blaming losses on induvials like Szczesny, Vermealen and Ramsey. The WHOLE team is accountable, from the First XI to Wenger.

Players we need from most important to least (IMO):
*Defensive/Strong/Ballwinning…CDM/CM
*New CB (Do not Sell Vermealen, Sell Djourou Instead.)
*Clinical Striker OR Pure Winger (Walcott is the new Striker.)
*RB – If Sanga leaves or Fails to sign a new Deal. (Around 26yo+ to avoid stopping Jenkison Development.)

He is better than all of the keepers we have right now.
He has tons of experience including what it takes to win trophies unlike anyone else at our club.
Would we do business with Stoke after all the name calling and bad blood?
Begovic is ok and Mignolet is battling potential relegation.He could be punch drunk by the end of the season.

Oh dear, so much transfer talk and the season hasn’t even finished yet. Just don’t get disappointed again. And if Arsenal fails to qualify for CL, i honestly doubt any of the names mentioned above would join Arsenal to play Thursday nights.

how many of use watch valdes he is a world class keeper ; statistically he outperformed iker 3 times out of the last 5 season an no im not talking clean sheet. the names you mention are all justshot stoppers(begovic,mignolet etc…) do they have the concentration to play for arsenal? we normally have posesion of the ball for long in games
valdes is good at set pieses,great distribution,orgonising defence, and is the best one on one keeper in europe . the biggest thing is how much confidence will he give to our defence? having a winner will boost the whole team an he can persuade villa to join and they both coulf sneak song an cesc in their suitcase

Valdes is another calamity. If we’re talking of building a squad, picking valdes would be an error. Sincerely I no longer trust wenger with good judgment. Sceceny is way better than valdes. Have u played a shot against valdes in ps3? It echoes how a basket he is.

You have to remember one important thing…
WE WON’T BUY PLAYERS UNLESS WE CAN ALSO MAKE A PROFIT… THAT IS THE ARSENAL WAY.
If we buy for £30-40 millions of players we will have to sell in order to balance the coffers… That’s just how Arsenal make his business and we all know that cruel reality.
What we need is those Arabics conglomerate or Usmanov…
We won’t be competitive if we stick with the “silent fool”, Wenger and Gazidis ( failure ).

I would take Song back, he was great for us last year. He didn’t get the raise he deserved with Arsenal so he rightfully moved on. But know that he has realized playtime is alot more valuable than money he should come back next season. Joining another EPL club is unforgivable but when Barca call with decent pay increase, who can blame them.
