Things Looking Better On The Injury Front At Arsenal – Fingers Crossed!
The internationals have been put to bed and it is now back to the Premier League and Sunderland at the Emirates on Sunday afternoon. Here is all the latest news on the injury situation and who is and who isn’t available, and for once things are looking up in the treatment room.
Abou Diaby is back in full training, but is still a week or so away from the first team, but he could be available next weekend, if not then the Carling Cup game against Bolton on Tuesday 25 October will see his return to first team action.
Thomas Vermaelen was expected to be fit by now, but it looks like he is still a couple of weeks away from a return to the first team. The West Brom game on Saturday 5 November is probably the earliest we will see him back in the staring line-up.
Tomas Rosicky had a groin problem whilst playing for the Czech Republic in the week, but he is expected to be fully fit for Sunday.
Absentees Laurent Koscielny and Johan Djourou have both been in training for some time now and are both fit for selection on Sunday.
Long term absentees Jack Wilshere and Bacary Sagna are progressing well, but as you would expect there are struggling to come to terms with being absent for long periods of time.
Whenever I hear news coming from Arsenal I always take it with a pinch of salt, because every time we get our hopes up about a players return they are dashed and another two weeks in the treatment room is the norm.
Now you now who is available for Sunday what do you think will be the starting XI chosen by Arsene Wenger? Who will he choose to play at right back for example? Share your team selection below.

could easily see walcott taking the place of arshavin or gervinho.. i would start him on the bench tho, just for impact reasons, something weve been lacking with our subs if late (not that its the biggest problems on our minds, but hey)

p.s i personally would like to see koscielny play RB when vermaelen gets back, hes very quick and hes not a bad defender when he plays well, (better than jenkinson anyway)

Why on Earth did Wenger sale Emmanuel Ebue? Now we are not with a good replacement. Let’s leave sentiment apart, our team must not be based on French player. Djouru will try

@Posto – because has been rubbish for years. Koscielny, Djourou, Eastmond and Jenkinson can all do a better shift at right back than him.

Where is park!!! Why hasn’t AW given him a chance. He is on form for his country! I also don’t understand why we don’t mix up the formation with our new players. Try a 4-4-2 as follows!
Sczesny
Jenkinson(who else), mertersaker, kosceilny, gibbs/santos
Walcott, arteta, song/ramsey, gervinho
RVP, park
Arsenal need a change in strategy, maybe this is worth giving a shot.

Kosceilny at RB is a better choice i think so my team would be:
sczeszny
Kos, Djuru, Mert, Santos
Song Ramsey
Gervinho, Areteta, Walcot
RVP
against sunderland this team will be stronger in the set pieces

hes not rubbish..eboue similar to sagna..he attack n cross..he bein play as right wing which is out posesion for em..he supose to b play as backup to sagna..shud gve hem more game time there in carling cup n also fa cup..hes btter than jenkinson that kind of chasing flies in a garden..wengie loves to play someone in othr posesion than which them prefer..

try to rotate the player;
-szc-
-santos- -mert- -kos- -gibbs-
-arteta- -coquelin/rosicky-
-chambo- -rvp- -gervinho-
-walcot/park-
iknw wengie wont do dat..i predict the lineup with sunderland..wenger wont change the tactics..so it wil gona b remain with 4-2-3-1;
-szc-
-jenkinson- -mert- -kos- -gibbs-
-arteta- -song-
-walcot- -ramsey- -gervinho-
-rvp-
i would lyk to see santos or koscielny n the right then young jenkinson..in the middle i prefer rosicky then ramsey..dnt u ol think arteta cmbine well with rosicky than ramsey? n also gve park game time..he need it..he goes to arsenal jst for two years..he chus arsenal than lille..n wengie nly wana play em on carling cup..hes on scorinh form..we wud lyk to see him upfront..why wengie dnt wana gve em a chance???
about the transfer news..gourcuff realy bein link hardly with us..i wud prefer goetze and hazard..i think there is no specialty n gourcuff..perhaps diaby, arteta, rosicky wud b even better than em..cnt wait for them to b fit enough..espcialy tv5 n diaby..hpe no more long term injuries after this..left with sagna n wilshere n medical room..why cnt b squilaci and denilson long term injuries..why must our top player..cnt wait to see ol of them n action..hpe arsenal gona b back from loser to ‘invincible’ back!

Gibbs, Frimpong, Oxlade-Chamberlain should start the game.
Song and Arteta should NEVER play next to each other. There styles of play (defensive) is too similar…

Song played well as CB against tottenham
It should be
koscielny song mertesacker santos/gibbs
gervinho artets ramsey arshavin
park van persie
Please try park and a 4-4-2 formation as we are only playing sunderland!

——–Szczesny———
Santos–Koscielny–Mertesacker–Gibbs
Arshavin–Arteta–Song–Gervinho
——-RVP——–Park
I would put Arshavin out in right and Walcott on the bench as a strong sub. Yossi Benanyon should also come on.

Wenger’s tactics are quite predictable. In light of this, we can expect only two changes:
1) Song returns to midfield to be replaced with Koscielny
2) Jenkinson takes up the position vacated by Sagna.
Park, AOC and Coquelin should expect a place on the bench.

@ gunnerguru
Yes Theo Walcott once upon a time couldn’t cross or shoot but now he def can. Outscoring Didier Drogba in goals last season with 15 in all comp which for a winger is quite gd. Messi said when we played them our most dangerous player is Walcott with his pace n finishing nt RVP or Fabregas. Remember Theo against Liverpool in champ league ?? Remember Theo against Man U this season, one touch goal !!! Through the keepers Legs. Ox is top quality bt we can’t overuse him becoz the pressure to always perform in every match will catale his development. When he scored in the champ Wenger prob said ” just enjoy urself son” not go and bag a goal on ur debut. Same for U21s
