This weeks Predict The Score, my new T-Shirt, and a warning for Arsenal bloggers!
At last the international break is over and we can get back to the serious stuff of the Premier League, but there are a couple of annoying things that have happened since the last league game, and I feel that I should warn all Arsenal bloggers just in case they get stung.
First of all I got an email regarding my “Predict The Score” competition, which ordered me to remove any reference to Arsenal’s next League match. All I had written was “Predict the score on the ****** game, and win an Arsenal Shirt”. After an email exchange, it seems that I need to buy a license to publish any League fixtures (don’t ask how much!), or be a “nominated fanzine” for Arsenal FC.
I have spoken to Arsenal, and they don’t have ANY nominated fanzines, so all Arsenal bloggers have to remove ANY reference to League fixtures (err except in an article of an editorial nature, and as long as you only mention one fixture, i think!). And this is not to be ignored. I received an email from another Arsenal site yesterday that had their hosting suspended without warning because they had violated their laws. Be warned!
But this obviouly won’t stop me having my Predict The Score competition every week! I will just have to write “Predict the Score against (censored) and win a T-Shirt!” And this is what you will have printed on the T-Shirt (to celebrate my new logo!)
