Time for Wenger to tie up Chamakh?
With the news that Robin Van Persie will be out for the rest of the season, will Arsene Wenger finally realise that he needs to draft another striker into the Arsenal team?
Could it be possible that Wenger has already come to an arrangement with the Bordeaux striker for him to move to the Emirates at Christmas?
Chamakh said the other day: “I just want to achieve a great season with Bordeaux and maybe then sign for a club in the Premier League.
“However it would be fine moving in January for a fee so everyone could take advantage of the transfer.”
The only problem i can see is that Bodeaux have qualified for the knockout stages of the Champions League, thanks to no small contribution from Chamakh, so Bordeaux may prefer to lose the few million they may get for the Moroccan striker in January, and hope a couple of wins in the Champions League willboost their coffers.
But with Bendtner, Eduardo and Vela all having spells on the treatment table already this season, it is becoming evident that Wenger is increasingly in need of more firepower for the long months ahead.

looks like the placenta treatment works for everyone except arsenal players unbelivable luck i don’t think chamakh will come we need a striker that is eligable for europe and yes i know there aren’t any good one big big season for bendy
Andre-pierre Gignac anyone?
I cnt say anything.we fold our arms and see what wl happen.
God why we’re the unluckiest team in the world,, why why why ?
I dont think chamakh is a replacement for rvp we can buy him as back up for eduardo …..for this to happen edu should strike full form..else we should opt for a worldclass striker may be nistelrooy or what about klose or kuranyi
sometimes u think arsenal players are premature at the frequency at which they get injured. God save us.
CAN ANYONE remember the last-time Wenger was able to field his strongest line-up??????????
Arsenal have often played well against chelski’s best only for drogba to save the day.
We need to get David Villa soon…we need a striker
lets bring chamakh home, the time has come…
jesus just buy him for f**ksake! We can get a good week out of him until he gets injured for $4 or 5 months!
Recall jay Simpson, simple as that, unless things are dire then there’s no need to rush off and buy, Jay Simpson is on fire at the moment and not only scores but has become an important link man qpr, he’s closer to a van persie mould of player than anyone else, chamakh has a fantastic header though, we miss that kind of threat. We don’t really have any player that can convert high crosses on the break into goals as consistently as chamakh does.
we need a striker…yes…but we need a hungry one that can turn into an instant hit…not just for goal scoring as any player in arsenal can score…except d keeper i suppose…but a striker who can assit gameplay…the keyword here is ”hungry” like Pava(the russian)
come on lets sign villa or gignac or carlton cole i say carlton cole because hes a good link up striker like van persie and he is big and strong so he would be a good signing but i really want arsene to sign vill but i cant see that happening and arsene needs to sign a new keeper almunia is terrible id rather have brian jensen i want arsene to sign akinfeev or lloris
Wenger must sign someone in the window – Bordeaux know they won’t win the Champs League – but neither will we. Finishing 4th and winning something this year are all that matters – the Champs or League are a dream for us, I’ll take 4th and the Carling cup right now. But if this is not accomplished and Wenger doesn’t sign a striker in January – he has to go, simple as that.
