Tom Cruise and Mark Randall released by Arsenal
Arsenal have released two of their players that were thought to be rich talents and expected to become stars of the future.
Tom Cruise has often been called the Top Gun after his illustrious namesake, and Mark Randall is another that was expected to break into the Arsenal first team but always seemed to fall short when it came to the crunch.
In fact Mark Randall biggest claim to fame was that he had a girlfriend called Holly Jay, a gorgeous model that appeared in Zoo Magazine.
Perhaps both of them were too much of the playboy type to knuckle down to Arsene Wengers training methods, but the fact is that Wenger is having a serious cull of the players that just aren’t good enough to play for the Gunners.
Perhaps these two will be the first of many?

good finally all the dead weight is being removed. randall is decent for chamionship but not for Arsenal maybe he will make it into premier league one day but it wont be with arsenal. as for tom cruise how many appearances did he make like 5. thats pretty bad even for a so called carling cup player which shows there was never any sign of him making the team in future. apart from all this i wish them well in the future and hop to see them playing in the preiership one day but one things for sure it wont be with arsenal.

Yes, I’m glad someone spots that Song is the weakest link in our team. Always unable to properly protect defenders and always in error whenever defending hence our habit to concede set pieces. I hear AC Milan wants him and we can get £15m- £20m. Just look at how Diarra who is not taller defended Real played Barca then you realise we’ve always had a pig in the sack since Gilberto left.

My thoughts and personal opinion on Arsenal.
DEFENCE:
Squillaci has to go, his positioning and awareness is terrible. Djourou has impressed me this season and has the potential to be a top defender. Sagna fits into Arsenals game perfect with the right attributes in key areas. Clichy on the other hand has not lived up to his expectations and potential and is looking like a defensive weakness at times it may look like time for him to start fresh elsewhere. Vermaelen – clearly he’s the guy. Who to buy? Me, Christopher Samba, a hefty 6ft5 – possessing many traits Arsenal need.
MIDFIELD:
Denilson i’m glad to hear has gone one way or another. Diaby is quite useless at times but may be a good option as a sub/reserve player or someone to change a game. Wilshere and Ramsey are class but not to play together, either or. Walcott and Arshavin need more forward roles and to be rotated. Nasri is world class and needs to stay. Song can be great but NEEDS to stay back at all times and protect the defence, thats all he is good at doing, at one point this season he thought he could dribble and make runs… Definately need another CDM to keep Song on his toes and as another option. I cant think at the moment who?? Fabregas needs to wake up, we all know he’s class but this season he has been far from it, in fact he was the cause of losing some vital matches.
ATTACK:
RVP, what a player he is, but cannot rely on him alone. He needs support, possibly we could play him in a RF or LF role in support of a striker. That way we can play and rotate Walcott, Nasri or Arshavin in the similar role. We need to buy someone and change something up front but i’ll leave that for people to think about.
And lastly GK… Szczcesny… has good ability but will not be world class next season, who disagrees? He should mature and make his mistakes elsewhere. I think he should be a no.2 and we sign one of the best. After all, Arsenal deserve that after the line up of keepers we’ve had.
