Van Persie confident of early return
The Arsenal striker Robin Van Persie is feeling good about his recovery from the ankle injury that threatened to end his season.
When Chiellini sliced through the Dutch striker in the meaningless international friendly between Holland and Italy, it looked like Arsenal were going to be deprived of Van Persie’s services until the summer, but now he thinks he can still play a crucial part in the push for the Premier League title and the Champions League.
Van Persie said: “At this point I can say that my recovery is right on schedule. The injury has been quite bad.
“I would however like to be part of the team’s campaign in the later stages of the league, or if we are still there, in the Champions League.”
This is great news for Arsene Wenger, who will feel vindicated for not buying another striker during the transfer window. With Nicklas Bendtner and Theo Walcott now approaching full fitness, and the prospect of the return of Van Persie, perhaps the Gunners don’t need another striker after all.

His (RVP) return at the later stage of the season is not bring that much impact .it is better to let him to recover fully and come back with fresh energy next season.
