Van Persie going to PSG? Lazy at best…..

Posted on June 29, 2012 by admin

Why do journalists make up such ridiculous rumours? by KJ

So silly season has already started and Van Persie is now being linked to French side PSG. I don’t quite understand how the papers are even making rumours on our Flying Dutchman when he’s on holiday at the moment. It is an insane idea to even entertain the prospect that he’s thinking of his future whilst on holiday. The whole point of a holiday is to get away from your real life.

Then we inspect the actual plausibility of this rumour. Why on Earth would Robin Van Persie want to leave for a club in France? No disrespect to the French league but it’s hardly a top league in Europe. Even with PSG’s financial clout, they still managed to end up second in a league where you’d consider it a one horse race. I understand Montpellier were truly amazing and some of their players were as well (*cough* Giroud *cough*) but you still shouldn’t end up second in a monopoly of a league.

PSG are some way off being good enough to properly challenge in Europe – even if they manage to secure the signings of RVP, Lavezzi and Thiago Silva. This season gone has proven that regardless of money, they aren’t coherent enough as a unit to win silverware. That might change next season in Ligue 1 but they will never beat teams like Barcelona and Madrid without unity. I fully believe that Arsenal always have a chance against the biggest teams in Europe because we fight as a unit.

If there is truth behind these rumours and that RVP is actually considering a move to France, it truly shows how broken football is. For Arsenal to lose a player to a French team, you know there is something wrong in the footballing world.

My personal opinion is that these rumours are completely unfounded and it’s just an extension of the lazy journalism we see in the world today.

I think you don’t get one thing, RvP being linked with PSG doesn’t mean that RvP considers going to PSG, it means that PSG WANT TO BUY RVP, but that doesn’t mean it will happen anyway…

I honestly dont mind if rvp leaves. He has done so much for us and we got more than we asked. All that i hope for is that he goes to a team where he will be honored and not sitting on the bench like fabregas.

I dont understand wb people say rvp ha done so much for us . He’s been with I’d 8 years and in that time we. Payed him millions in wages , supported him through all of his horrid injury hot seasons and the one season he delivers wat we expect him to do for us all of a sudden he’s done so much for us? I don’t think sO

For an Arsenal fan to talk about a team’s capacity to win silverware, it is quite ironical. Your team is notoriously incapable of winning anything and is well known for being an anti-climatic joke. On the other hand, PSG has arguably one of the greatest potentials in Europe: a prestigious city, a fantastic club with no real competition in the capital, lots of money, a great coach… and an exciting project. Before long you will talk differently, Arsenal men.

@ Everyone, didn’t Paul already ruin our weekends by announcing RVP is going to City (or Barca). Who cares about PSG if his mind is on leaving. Depressed over it all and just want it over, why do they all drag it out when leaving Arsenal?

rvp will definately go and the best of luck to him . what top club in the world be over the moon to finish third in their league , we have no ambition whatsoever so i say good luck to robin . on the other hand , arsenal have always survived players leaving , we always seem to find life almost better without our biggest stars in a way .i am not convinced by wengers signings to date , thats if their performances in euro 2012 is anything to go by .

  19. I need to sing a song of glory win next season. Plz Perse sign a new Contract. I expect to win something good next season. I want to see you lifting triumph up as our captain. To Arsene Wenger please if R.V.Perse decide to leave us, bring Kalou, Dzeko, or De jong to replace him. More M.Vila is needed into our squad. I can see him to be the next Vieira.

1st @paul, talks crap wen it comes to transfers coz there really is no news he’s given is that was already being thrown around. (no offense mate. Just my opinion)
2nd the only sources i believe wen it comes to arsenal transfers are arsene & arsenal.com.

3rd Guys the media will turn ur summer into hell. Just by being on this site shows ur a die hard fan &u love the club to bits. If the transfers went according to media speculation the football world would be haywire!! Id encourage a bit more patience. Wait on rvp &arsene. As signs show this season, it probably will be worth the wait.. Patience fellow gooners,, patience… Bleed red & white

  23. Aldo says:

Oh stop it with all this RVP nonsense. Of course he’s staying at Arsenal. If he wanted, he would have left already. Why on earth do you people think he demanded more quality signings? He is a captain and most praised player of one of the best clubs in football and he wants to win something with the club. That’s the reason of putting his own name on the line to press Wenger and the board for some needed changes. The only clubs he would ever consider are Barcelona and Real Madrid. Obviously with their own fire power they wont be needing (=spending a fortune for) a 28 year old striker. Wherever he would go, he would be just a player, at Arsenal he might become a legend if he lifts a trophy in May..

No to PSG. But I think RVP chances of staying at Arsenal is becoming slim by de day is no coincidence that Wenger want to keep Chamak after signing two strikers with Joel Camp still in de picture. (I hope am wrong) Gunner In Ghana

    To know-everything-paul.
When you are so well connected please push your friend wenger to sell ramsey and denilson and other deadwood and to buy some more players which we need. :)
M’Vila if possible and at least one decent defender… thank you very much

  26. wentworth says:

what is there to say again?
    (1) He refuse to sign a new contract which i believe is gross unloyalty.
    (2) Arsenal banned him from speaking to the media at the euros cause he might burst the bubble about their last discussion. Which i think is him not staying.
    (3) wenger who is always reluctant to sign players and already got podolski suddenly signed another top striker before a transfer window.
    (4) peter hillwood declare we cannot pay RVP ridiculous wages(which i believe is where they locked horn before he left for euros)
    (5) He came back from euros and left for holiday(show how loyal he is)
pls fellow gunners let’s get over it. RVP is a betrayal and not a loyal player. Imagine owen haggreaves having a wonder season at manu then just refuse signing an extension after what manu did for him by paying him to do nothing. Instead manu lost faith in him and sent him away. In my own opinion if he leaves i cnt wish him any goodluck and i will see him even worse than nasri. Wenger please learn your lesson. Stop your persistent faith in injury prone and underperforming players at the detriment of arsenal, thereby we cnt win any trophy only for them to have a good run and stab us at the back. By saying that diaby, gibbs and ramsey come to mind. Am really sad about it but i remain a gunner forever.

I can’t see him going only through statement from he’s family.1 Wife clames there happy in London. 2 Farther he would find it imposable to play for another team in England 3 himself he loves arsenal and the fans so much and wanted to become a legend like D.B and as for the contract talks they’ll sit down and talk the following week and after the euros 4 not family but wenger said he Will be an arsenal player next season. The said the plan for van percie will be revelled at the right time (hopefully this mean when everyone doubts he’ll sign he will) mind games. I know it’s not a lot to go on
