Van Persie – Song and the Arsenal defence were great but I was rubbish!
Arsenal only managed to win 1-0 over Everton this weekend and it was thanks to the usual Van Persie winning goal, but the Dutchman was not happy with his own performance and thought that his finish was just lucky!
He said: “It wasn’t a great game in my opinion, especially from myself as too often I had touches which did not go the way I wanted,”
“I’m not really happy with that, with my own performance, but pleased with the win.”
“It was a great pass again from Alex Song, unbelievable. He is a defensive midfielder, but the amount of skill he has is just a dream. A great pass from him.
“Normally I would have touched the ball to get it right. It was a bit of a gamble, but in the end a very nice goal inside the post. I can’t wish for more.”
But he was very happy with the Gunners defence who kept another clean sheet against Everton. “We’ve been solid at the back for a couple of weeks now.” he said. “I mean really solid, lots of things coming together,”
“It was vital to stay on track and get the three points. It was a hard game against a good Everton side. In the end, very pleased.”
We’re all very pleased to finally reach the top four, but it really was a rubbish game….

RvP scored the winning goal vs Everton… he can play rubbish in every other game this season then… in other news, Clichy has recently stated “we know [city] we are capable of doing anything against any team”.. Yep, totally agree Clichy, like lose very badly to Arsenal this weekend!!

Before we conclude that it was a rubbish game, we want to remember that our home form hasn’t been very fantastic. I was very pleased with the 1-0 nil, it could have been goaless. Since our away form is becoming deadly, I am more optimistic that we shall pull out a good result from Man City this weekend.

Dont worry,rvp.we appreciate.the important thing was achieved…d 3 points.i am a die hard apostle of attractive football but wit d way epl is currently going,i wuld rather prefer playing badly and winning than 2 play beautifuly and lose.

We got the result and that is the most important thing. In previous seasons we would have lost that game but this year Arsenal have really impressed. The team will grind out a result at the expense of playing a beautiful game. When it matters they will do it.

its better to have 1 special player like van persie and succeed than have too many ones as in real madrid (ronaldo,kaka,sahin,ozil etc ) and fail.his finishing inside the box has been truly amazing(can recall so many such goals).4-5-1 is maybe good after all,as long as lone striker is neat on the ball.the team balance is exceptional right now,just that one more striker will complete it……….imagine wilshere hitting last season’s form when he returns along with rvp and walcott being injury-free the whole season.

RVP admitted that he not being himself but still scored goal but what if he really have bad day or worse day from whom can we rely on to score. Furthermore other opponents player will provoke him or kick him that the worse scenario. Mr Wenger we really need a good b/up striker that really can score. Please do something in January.

We need to extend his contract. It’s so glaringly obvious that his goals alone have so far propped our season. Another long, drawn out, embarrassing contract/transfer saga must not be allowed to happen next summer with RVP.
For this to happen, we must make a big money signing to signal our intent in January. So, Mario Götze, Jan Vertonghen, Eden Hazard or whoever – Arsene, whatever you do, please makes sure its a move for someone with enough prestige attached to it to not only strengthen our squad but also encourage our stars to want to stay!!

I think RVP should not be so hard on himslef Imean he played a gd game scored a goal maybe it’s not one of his best , but now he’s the top scorrer the best striker in the EPL so far . So I think Rvp should not worry about anything . Arsenal for life
