Vermaelen – Arsenal have regained their self-belief, and Van Persie is amazing!
The Gunners defender Thomas Vermaelen is feeling pretty good after his return from long term injury, and he thinks that the Arsenal team has now fully regained their confidence and self belief.
He said: “If you are winning games then you are in the mood, you are positive and your confidence just goes up. That’s what’s happened with this team.
“Maybe because we had a bad start some of the self-belief wasn’t there as much for some players but when we started winning again it came back. That’s why we’re more confident on the pitch and we’ll get better results.
“It’s hard to say which moment or which result but I think the new players have been really important for us. They’re doing a great job at the moment and they bring experience.
“People like Mikel have played a lot of games in the Premier League and Per has played a lot in the Bundesliga and for his country. Both are really experienced and I’m really happy with them. That was good for the team I think, when they settled in well, and we’ve been getting better results.”
Other than the new players, Vermaelen could not help but praise his captain Robin Van Persie who is at the peak of his form has been scoring for fun this year. Vermaelen exclaimed: “It’s amazing if you play with him, even in training,”
“I knew before that he was a quality, world-class player and that technically he was really good. He’s scoring goals now and his game is more complete.
“He’s fit, playing every game, scoring goals and for the team that’s really important. Personally I’m really happy to be playing with him every game.”
Anyone would be happy to have Van Persie leading the attack in their team, but I’m just hoping that Vermaelen’s last line may be risking fate. Let’s hope he hasn’t jinxed him…………….

Anywho ABOUT THE POST I must admit that Van Persie is phenomenal. He played like half a year last season and scored 18 goals now he has played half of this season and scored 15. He has always been on form it’s just that he isn’t injured so people are finally taking notice of him. Love Van Persie, Love Vermaelen, Love Wenger, Love the Team, and most of all Love Arsenal (even if Lolcat is a fan).

We will have had a lot of difficult away games out of the way and could be surprise challengers for the league but consistency is essential!

A win would give not just bragging rights to Arsenal, but also a form guide every team should be afraid of! ( Yes, I’m talking about you AC Milan..) And not forgetting, 3 points and a 5 horse title race!
