Walcott- Blame the Arsenal players for our slump, not Wenger…
Arsenal may have impressed everyone with their 7-1 demolition of Blackburn at the weekend, but before that they had only earned one point from their previous four games.
Theo Walcott was one of the players pinpointed by Arsenal fans as being out of sorts during that run, and the England international thinks it is unfair that Arsene Wenger has had to take the blame for the failings of the players on the pitch.
He said: “The boss always takes a lot of stick from everyone criticising him, but us players need to look up to him because he’s been taking it all,”
“We are the ones who go out there and put out the performances and sometimes they have not been good enough.”
“There are so many world-class players in the dressing room, so it is disappointing when we come back from Bolton with a 0-0 draw where we had a lot of chances.
“I has just been one of those frustrating seasons.
“Hopefully a lot of those frustrations came out against Blackburn, where everybody stood up for themselves.”
You are right Theo, so are they all going to stand up for every game from now on? Because that is the only way Wenger is going to stop taking the stick……

I agree with Walcott. Arsene is the best in the business and we will need him until he basically retires. Can you imagine how privileged young players must feel when they here ARSENE WENGER is interested in them. I call him the Simon Cowell of Football. Theo is right but what good is it telling us? Tell the players. I Love Arsenal and have done since i can remember and i sense this is the start of something beautiful although Jacks injury was another setback.

Get to the champions league please! And don’t overuse AOC please… sure he is great but i feel that we put to much pressure on him. And in summer get to the buisness.
sack almunia,denilson,park,squillaci,arshavin. they are dead meat. We need to buy hazard,podolski,and scout a great midfelder or get one from the b squad. And get back RYO,kyle bartley! COYG

Its good that players appreciate their own share of responsibility, but when ever the ship sinks the captain has to bear the blame. “Captain” wenger’s fault is failure to invest in quality players.

interesting to hear wenger purrring about hazard again!
i think its obvoius to all by now that if wenger could get him he would, so maybe the anti wenger fans will finally ease up abit and realise it must be the board preventing such sighnings as wenger would quite clearly crawl across broken glass to have him here!
theo is right about blowimg of steam against blackburn, what worrys me is that kinda result never used to raise an eyebrow and was commenplace at the emirates, cant remember a wenger era season where goals were so hard to come by. lets just hope we start whipping teams again and get things back to normal, and that includes the spuds remaining on channel 5 on thursday nights were they belong, bloody jumped up spuds with ideas of grandure, its enough to put me off my chips! hey this one looks like gareth bale!!!!!!!!!

i agree with everyone that our defence is not as solid as it has been in the past, nor is it as solid as it should be. Vert is a great defender and have seen a lot of him over the last cpl years. as is samba. but i do agree that youth is the way forward right now. in mert, kos, tv5 we have 3 decent solid centre backs. johan can play there in emergency, as can song. miquel is coming through nicely, so one maybe 2 more promising youngsters will be enough to see us through the next 5 years. our midfield is also looking ok when all fit. hazard would be a great signing, but not likely to happen, so get real gooners, hes not gonna come to us. its up front we need to sort out. rvp cannot go on like this alone. even if he does stay next year(looking unlikely) then he needs a world class strike partner. we have back up strikers, wide men, and players who can sit off him. but we need another out an out striker to play with him or when hes rested.
As for the spurs thing!!!! are they really that good? are they better than us???? not a chance. the league table may not reflect this but take bale and modric out and they are a pretty average team. top 10 maybe but not top4. i think they will both be gone in the summer also, along wiv the tax crook rednapp. watch there bubble burst then
up the gooners!!!!!

Off the topic folks but have you noticed BARRY BANNAN from ASTON VILLA?I think Wenger should consider him he’s YOUNG,GREAT VISION esp (long balls & crosses that are always inch perfect) AND ALSO HE’S A FIGHTER maybe due to his Scottish roots.He came as a sub against us in the FA and made a difference,played against Newcastle and still had an impact and though ASTON VILLA lost both games this guy is worth some investment especially now that other clubs are unawares He has premier league xperience and can fit well with the YOUNG GOONERS.
SORRY FOLKS BUT WHAT DO U THINK??

Arsenal FC is a business and not a football club as it was before. I blame Wenger and the greedy board!!!
“You should know that each season, it is imperative to show a profit of between fifteen and twenty million pounds,” said Wenger.

In the summer get rid of Almunia, Fabianski, Mannone, Djourou, Squillaci, Mertesacker, Denilson, Diaby, Ramsey, Rosicky, Arshavin, Walcott, Chamakh, Park, Bendtner and Vela.
And buy Krul/Worm, Samba, Vertonghen, Baines, Gotze, Hazard, Podolski and Demba Ba.

walcrap we blame you too! less talking n put ur consistent performance then we wud praise u.stop demanding for a centre role.dvelop urself further bfore u cn bcome a world clas like rvp. u dnt hv any technique.similar to lennon. bt he atleast us hes pace combine with football brain.
wenger bid for nick powell an attacking mid this summer?an attacking midfield. young player of the year at their championship. so eifield n nick two exciting attacking midfield talent. so do wenger hv plan with ramshit??he doesnt suits into our play. he myb suits in newcastle direct style bt nt at arsenal.he is nt an attcking midfield.he normal position is at the centre role which is wilshere position.n cn be arteta,song,coquelin,frimponged role too. an he even suck at the centre midfield against swansea. so i dnt even knw what hes real position is.sory no offence to rambo fans. yes he is back from an horrible injury bt he doesnt hv the arsenal dna. which even frimponged,wilshere hv aftr their long term injury.sory bt i think if intermilan wnt to tke him for 20m acept it. n gt nick powell so we hv two brightest prospect attacking midfield. n arshavin wil dfinetly gone so we need his replacement. one r two top quality one.the options one r two from this;
1)erikson(ajax)
2)hazard
3)goetze
i think rosicky wud also wna leave this summer.consider with hes age. so my top signings wud be ;
dfender;sakho(young,strong)wenger wont go for samba atleast go for a young french.cn b our next sol campbell. djourou n squid definetly out for me. so our dfence wud be kos,tv5,mert,sakho,miquel in next season;
our midfield;
song,coquelin,arteta,wilshere,(erikson/hazard/goetze). frimponged cn atleast go for a loan a season. loan him to bolton. hope ryo wud be a hit.wilshere is succesful from there. hpe he cn turn to be one too.
wat worries is our attacking midfield th creative playmaker we need if we keep wna plau this position to fill that fabregas void to provide that killer pass. hazard or erikson wud be mytopchoice.

These post where people sell and buy players easier than football manager are hilarious. Wenger has made more mistakes this season and last than any other period in my opinion. I also agree that the extra fat like Bendtner, Vela, Park (because he is whining), Denilson, Chamakh, Squillacci, Almunia and Fabianski (because he is whining) should be trimmed for some signings of Wenger’s choosing. He has provided some gems but is no longer as ruthless in removing the flops. He also seems to be supportive of players to the detriment of the team at the moment. Anyhow bearing in mind that any manager coming in has to work with the board and in Arsenal’s management structure I can’t see anyone better than Wenger. People blame Arsene for this but let us face it he is given a brief by the club. Blaming Wenger for not signing superstar wages is naive criticism. As for Walcott he should do us a favour and admit personally he is the chief culprit who has not been performing beyond that what his speed naturally gifts him. The missed opportunity against Bolton was woeful as is any attempt of his to volley or place a shot or head (haha midget). He tracks back but his defending is so shoddy he might as well not and beyond clear opportunity for a cross (which he does well) he lacks any awareness of incisive passing. He is a player who requires bench time. I am hoping we see Gervinho and the Ox in tandem with a Park cameo until Walcott becomes a player.

Yup. A coach can be blamed for the transfers or player positions but not for the performances on field. Its a fair enough comment but we already know that Theo. How about a 2-0 at Sunderland or 5-0 when the Tattinham (in Hindi Tatti means crap) come visiting.

Its still wenger‘s fault bcos he always fails 2 substitute d flops in d match(e.g walcott & ramsey in most matches we‘ve played dis year).if a players knws his place in d team is under threat, he will surely stand up & fight, but wenger is not provin 2 walcott & co dat dey are underperforming
